UK-Tour-December-2011

Tour Of The Week: Twin Atlantic

It has been quite the year for Scottish rockers Twin Atlantic. With an absoutely brilliant debut album (‘Free’) in the bag, the quartet have spent pretty much all of this year touring their butt’s off to promote it and are finishing up their crazy year by a final stretch around the UK. The band are nearly half way through this headlining jaunt, haven’t already taken in Carfdiff, London, Brighton, Birmingham and Nottingham, but they still have another week on the road before they wrap up next Monday on the 12th of December in Dundee. What is so special about this tour is, not only are Twin Atlantic an incredibly epic live band and I doubt will be playing such smaller venues in the future, but the support for this tour is beyond brilliant! Opening the bill are Arcane Roots, who are three piece that make rock music with soaring melodies and huge choruses along with math rock tendencies and plenty of riffage. With their debut album due out next year and haven’t re-released their epic EP earlier this year, Arcane Roots are the perfect band to open this tour as they deserve to be massive! And in main support are the awesome Dinosaur Pile-Up who make huge pop songs with grunge-infused rock style with big riffs and even bigger hooks. Haven’t released their fantastic debut LP last year and with their second album due out in the new year, Dinosaur Pile-Up are completely worthy of your attention! So yeah, go check this tour out, three of the finest rock bands the UK has the offer right now, unlikely to be repeated again! The rest of the dates are:

04 Manchester Club Academy
06 Wrexham Central Station
07 Leeds Cockpit
09 Edinburgh Picturehouse
10 Glasgow Academy
11 Aberdeen Forum
12 Dundee Fat Sam’s
