I would say, pay attention to details. Draw what you see and not what you think it looks like, e.g. if you’re looking at a leaf you’re about to draw, don’t just go: “Oh, that’s just a leaf, so I’ll draw it like leaf-” No, no; You draw that exact leaf. Draw what you see around you as an exercise or a warm-up. There’s NO shame in using reference, I say better use 2-3 ref pics than none at all. Study other people’s artwork, watch speed drawing videos on Youtube, and watch them over and over again. Draw people that inspire you, draw only things that makes you happy.
-There are a lot of different ways to draw digitally, but my two favorite techniques for realistic art is:
1. Start with a sketch, and add color/shading on a layer underneath, later, slowly ‘erase’ the lineart and add details, like so:
2. Simply just start out with the base color/shading, and add the details as you go, all on the same layer, like so:
I know these are very vague examples, but you kinda get the gist of it. The second technique works best in Photoshop I would say, but I draw all my artwork in Clip Studio Paint, so everything is possible c:
Don’t be afraid to draw the first line, and if you make a mistake, just erase it and try again. Drawing your favorite Disney/anime characters is a great way of practicing proportions if realistic art is too overwhelming and you keep getting stuck. Surround yourself with things that motivates you, and talk with other artists! Don’t be afraid to ask for help, haha! c;
The official photo of my meet and greet with two of my biggest idols. It was pretty much the first time I actually got to meet my favorite YouTubers! Thank u Danisnotonfire and AmazingPhil for all those years of trying to tell us that even if posting a tumblr post or a YouTube video was nothing to yourself, you’re putting a bigger impact in many people’s lives.
Respond or not, I understand. I'm just doing this because I know this is the only way I know you will see this. Apparently many people found what I asked last, "are you gay for BrutalMoose?" As offensive. I am sorry if that's what it came across as. I was being highly sarcastic and merely teasing. I love you, you are my all time favorite youtuber and PBG and I would never say or do anything to bring you guys down. EVER. I would hug u two of I could and cry. I look up to you. So I'm sorry. Truly.
I honestly don’t find it offensive or anything. Even if the question was in jest. Just so everyone knows I responded to that question *Sarcasm* in hand, just sayin’ it like it is. Honestly this is why I never answer questions like that, because even if i’m joking, the other person is joking, or we’re both just joking, someone takes it seriously and responds however they perceive that thing. Don’t worry about it! It happens. Don’t have to be sorry, there’s no problem! =D People just sometimes take things too far on behalf of the people they look up to. If it has something to do with me - nobody is going to know BUT ME. Don’t let other people get to you.
So I was having a twitter conversation about bad Youtube comments with someone when I notice that one of my tweets in this conversation were favorited by two different people. This is odd, because Twitter did not notify me (as it typically does) that these tweets were favorited.
Typically, spambots will favorite random pieces of unrelated conversation because you triggered their word filter or something, and at first glance, these two accounts definitely look like spambots.
But then you look at the content these twitter accounts have actually posted and really start to think about what’s going on here and it may actually be the most bizarre thing I’ve seen in a long time?
There’s obviously logos all over these images, so you think, well, they’re advertising a product, right? Nope. BOINC is a free piece of software from Berkeley. It’s for networked grid computing (aka crunching numbers across the internet). The other logo is for Rosetta@Home, which uses BOINC to process medical data.
If you look at their tweets, they’ve been favorited by people who claim they are part of the Illuminati and seem to tweet intentionally cryptic stuff.
I don’t know what all of this is, and on some level I don’t want to know. It’s better as a momentary brush with a very weird side of the internet.
So I haven’t consistently watched any youtube channels for like two years (had to do with my last job and just…not having time) and I decided to visit one of my old favorite ones to see what they had done in the meantime and boy oh boy I’m going to settle in to watch the them play cri.sis core and cry my eyes out
