Torre-di-Moravola

Torre di Moravola

TAKE ME HERE!!!

Walking outside my office to grab lunch, the sun beating down, and needing to thaw out from the blasting air-con, I’m of course thinking of the next place to escape to!

This will do…. The owners, Christopher Chong, a former associate with Norman Foster, and Seonaid Mackenzie, a designer, a fitting pair; took a thousand years-old hilltop watch tower and converted it into a modern day boutique hotel extraordinaire. The hotel is located in Umbria, Italy. If the hotel doesn’t satisfy, which I am sure it will - the food in the region should no doubt. Roughly 200 Euro a night.

Tablet Hotels is my go-to website for hotel bookings. Their tablet tunes, culture sections, and city guides have set the golden standard to online hotel bookings.

Torre di Moravola is a 12th C retreat created from a medieval watchtower situated on a mountainside overlooking the Carpini valley in Umbria, Italy. Outbuildings, gardens, terraces and a 25 metre infinity pool are aligned on an axis with the tower to maximise the dramatic 360 degree views over secluded valleys, unchanged for centuries, giving the sensation of being totally removed from the modern world.
