The whole TOMS shoes thing kind of pisses me off. People in developing countries don’t want shoes, they want food. Also I read a book called “Chai Tea Sunday" which was about someone going to volunteer in Kenya and she bought shoes for the children there, she said none of them even wore the shoes because they were so happy at receiving that gift that they didn’t want to ruin them, they put them in a safe spot to admire. Where are TOMS shoes made? China. Need I say more? Here and here are only a couple of the many articles and posts giving insight into why TOMS aren’t all that great as people think they are.
