How do you think Christmas comes to Ponyville? Well Dasher is the current leader of all the Christmas preparations, but he needs lots of help to bring Christmas to all the ponies! Thank goodness for Genie helping him, as she grants his wish to summon help from ponies of all generations! As quick as a flash, Rarity started painting some toys for the little ponies and Snow El and Princess Peppermint were wrapping presents! Silver Swirl used her magical powers to gift Dasher’s reindeer with the power of flight, and Dasher loaded up presents!

On Christmas Morning, DJ-P0N3 got her wish of new headphones and Queen Novo got the Queen of…the Hippos! (get it?). Marshmallow Coco and Mistletoe got a lovely electric campfire to keep warm and Pinkie Pie and Maud Pie got a mini Pinkie Pie!

Why all of the Disney princesses are awesome

Snow White

- was a survivor of attempted murder, and was resilient to not let that horrid and traumatizing event bring her down or let it ruin her life

- was a victim of emotional abuse, and didn’t let the abuse get to her

- would save a baby bird from danger and make sure it found it’s parents

- knows how to hold a rocking party with friends

- survivor of emotional abuse from her stepmom and stepsisters for many years, and stayed kind towards others

- despite her family treating her so wrongly and poorly, she just wanted to spend a night with them and have fun with them, and just be like a normal family “ Prince Charming, who “ ?????

- she’s sassy as fuck “ Well I don’t want to interrupt their “music lesson “ during her stepsisters bad singing

- even though she had a short time to be at the ball, she was grateful for the opportunity anyways

- Gives up her happiness, to perform her duty as a princess for her kingdom and her kingdom’s future and knows that she must do her job as a princess. That’s pretty brave and selfless.

- that gorgeous blonde curly hair !!!!

- she’s the first Princess that goes forward to make her dreams come true, rather than just wishing, hoping and waiting.

- she’s adventurous, curious, loves to explore, learn about new things and new cultures and new world

- she’s the first Princess to save her love interest, but once, but twice

- different, odd and a misfit from the common crowd and gives no fucks

- “ Women shouldn’t read “ Well shut the fuck up, I’m going to do what I love and enjoy anyways.

- takes no bullshit. You are a asshole ? Got no time for that. She’s outtie.

- sees the good within people, but is also isn’t naive, she knows that some people are just plain monsters, through and through.

- will stand up for her rights, and won’t be pushed around

- is quick, sharp, intelligent and a fast learner

-wants to learn more about the outside world and her people

-if you try and lie to her or manipulate her or treat her like she’s a fool, she’s not having that shit

-will fight for her people, her family, her world, her home, her culture

- she’s the first princess to save the day, not the guy, not a male sidekick, she’s the one the saves the day, while Snow had the Dwarfs, Cinderella had her mice friends, Aurora had Prince Phillip, Ariel had Eric, and Jasmine had Aladdin. ( Belle is debatable imo )

- loves the earth and nature and will protect it from harm

- she saves China, I mean, come on

- she never gives up, no matter what. If she fails, she will just try even harder to succeed and will find a way on how can succeed.

- brave, determined, strong mentally and physically, a kind friend

-teaches girls that it’s okay if you haven’t found yourself yet- if you don’t give up, one day you will, and you will conquer

- pushes gender norms

- another female princess that saves the day, not her male love interest, or sidekicks, is also the first princess to defeat the villian in battle, like a previous male character like Phillip or Eric would

- is hard-working, and never gives up on her dreams, and will work hard to get there

- teaches that dreams are done by sweating your butt off, giving up on fun sometimes, sometimes having to work more than one job, than just wishing and hoping, you have to take action, and make that dream happen

-ambitious and smart and realistic

- teaches that you shouldn’t take a short-cut, find a lazy option, cheat or gamble your way to success, the only to get there is through hard work and effort

- again, another badass princess that saves the day on her own

- is kind to everybody

- is cheerful, positive, warm and supportive towards others, even people who seem “scary “, she knows inside, that we all have dreams

-is brave enough to step outside her  zone and new and strange places and territories

- anger her by harming one of her loved ones and she will fucking tear you apart

- a talented artist

Anna and Elsa

- teaches girls that family love is just as important than romance love, if not more so

- Anna goes through a abusive relationship and isn’t put off love forever, she learns her lesson, doesn’t let Hans bad treatment of her ruin her or let her become a toxic person, like he was, and moves on with a better man, and a healthier relationship

- Elsa goes through basically being locked up with lack of other human contact, fearing her powers and fearing what other people think of, to come out as better and stronger person

- Elsa teaches that sometimes its best not let what others think of you, and just say “ fuck it “ and just be yourself and be free

- Anna teaches the difference between a unhealthy relationship (whirlwind romance, quickly trusting people, getting into a deep relationship with somebody you don’t even know )  and healthy one ( somebody who gives you his jacket when you are cold, holds you close when you are scared, is worried about your well-being, getting to know somebody first before leaping in, somebody who asks for your consent before kissing you, will do anything to make sure you are safe and okay )

- will do anything for her island and people and make sure they’ll all okay

- her leadership skills are A++

- no “ you are forced to marry this boy so you can become his queen”, BS, Moana is the future leader

- is brave to fear the unknown waters, learn new skills, and battle monsters

- is understanding, and understands why somebody acts the way that they do

- is extremely independent

in short, they are all awesome, even the three originals.

Ah yes, because the princesses have been such terrible role models. They have taught such horrific lessons such as…

Stop pitting female characters against each other.

A dress is not a weakness.

Some fractured fairy tale ideas...

- Cinderella went to the ball to kill the prince.

- “All hail Alice, the Queen of Hearts.”

- Rapunzel is the witch’s illegitimate daughter, and she is being kept safe from a king who would have her killed on sight.

- The Little Match Girl is a now phantom luring people to their deaths.

- Little Red Riding Hood is a werewolf.

- “So… You’re the Pied Piper, eh? I thought you’d be taller.”

- Princess Snow White and the evil Snow Queen? One and the same.

- “If you value your life, my life, the lives of everyone in this city… you won’t wake the sleeping princess.”

- The land of the Twelve Dancing Princesses is falling apart at the seams, and the rest of reality with it.

- A witch who made some bad decisions in her youth is forced to adopt and raise a child.

- After Jack the Giant Killer ruthlessly murdered their king and threw their world into turmoil and war, the inhabitants of the Sky Kingdom must rebuild their lives.

- “What… what is it?”
“A firebird – the last of her kind.”

Let’s talk for a second about Disney princesses.

Listen guys. I LOVE those Disney gals who saved themselves and wrote their own story. I love Mulan saving all of China and taking command of an army. I love Merida standing up for herself and winning her own hand. I love Tiana, who worked hard every second of her life in order to earn her own happily ever after and achieve her dream. I love Anna and Elsa constantly fighting for each other and saving each other through sisterly love. And you all know I ADORE Moana and her journey to find herself and save her island. Incredible characters, one and all!

But can we remember Cinderella, slaving away for an abusive stepmother who constantly tried to diminish her worth, while Cinderella still stayed kind and strong?
Can we remember Snow White, who lost both of her parents, only to be left with a jealous stepmother who TRIED TO KILL HER?
Can we remember Aurora, who was cursed as a tiny baby, taken from her parents, and lived a lonely life with no friends except animals and 3 ditzy (albeit lovable) fairies, never permitted to meet anyone new or go on real adventures and discover life?
Can we talk about all the Disney heroines who had difficult beginnings, who were treated unjustly, who withstood adversity but maintained their kindness and never stopped dreaming? Cinderella never asked for a prince to come take her away. She asked for just one night where she didn’t have to dress in rags and endure the abuse that surrounded her daily. Ariel longed to be a part of the human world long before she met Eric, he simply gave her even more reason to finally go. Megara saved Hercules and sacrificed herself, not only for true love but to save everyone! Jasmine may have fallen in love with Aladdin, but she saved him as much as he saved her. Remember Kida and all she had to endure. Remember Belle, who was smart and ambitious and so ahead of her time. It’s not wrong for Snow White to dream of finding true love. She grew up never knowing what it was like to be loved at all! OF COURSE she would dream of someone who accepted her and treated her well!

So yes. Let’s teach girls that family relationships are important. Let’s teach them how to work hard to get where they want to go. Let’s teach them how to save themselves, how to believe in themselves, and how to stand up for what they believe is right. Let’s remind them that they are “not a prize to be won.” But let’s also help them understand that asking for help isn’t a sign of weakness and that falling in love isn’t pathetic or shameful. True, they don’t NEED a man. But if they happen to find someone who makes them happy and treats them better than they’ve ever been treated, that’s great too! Its not a sign of weakness. It’s just another beautiful part of their story.

Daenerys and Sansa

What’s up everyone? Today we’re going to talk about these two amazing ladies; Daenerys Targaryen and Sansa Stark.

With the Jonerys ship taking off (literally), I see A LOT of hate going and back and forth between the Jonerys and Jonsa shippers. There’s quite a bit of speculation that Sansa is going to be angry with Jon for giving up the North and that her and Dany will never get along. Well I’m here today to tell you that I think Sansa and Dany will get past whatever early on strifes there may be, because in reality, they’re not as different as it may seem.

So, let’s remove Jon from the equation and appreciate each woman for who they are on their own and some of the similarities they share.

Daenerys: Started off as a young, pretty, timid, and naive girl who just wanted to go home.

Sansa: Started of as a young, pretty, timid, and naive girl who just wanted to be loved.

Daenerys: Lost both of her parents.

Sansa: Lost both of her parents.

Daenerys: Lost two brothers.

Sansa: Lost two brothers.

Daenerys: Was always at odds with Viserys.

Sansa: Was always at odds with Arya.

Daenerys: Orphaned and taken in by Illyrio, who arranged for her to be married to Khal Drogo.

Sansa: Orphaned and taken in by Littlefinger, who arranged for her to be married to Ramsay Bolton.

Daenerys: Was raped by her new husband Drogo.

Sansa: Was raped by her new husband Ramsay.

Daenerys: Has the Unsullied and the Dothraki who will fight for her.

Sansa: Has the Vale and the North who will fight for her.

Daenerys: Has her most loyal protector who would do anything for her; Jorah.

Sansa: Has her most loyal protector who would do anything for her; Brienne.

Daenerys: She is loved by her people and loves them in return. Mhysa.

Sansa: She is loved by her people and loves them in return. Lady of Winterfell.

Daenerys: Lost Viserion. (Even though its only one dragon, he was still a huge part of her).

Sansa: Lost Lady.

Daenerys: Has grown in to a strong, smart, powerful leader that is not to be crossed.

Sansa: Has grown in to a strong, smart, powerful leader that is not to be crossed.

***BONUS** Both are beautiful fire princesses and snow queens.

Please stop putting these two against each other just because you can’t agree on which one of them you ship Jon with. Yes, they are very different individuals, but deep down they have more similarities than you might think. I hope D&D does these two justice and allows them to form a friendship.

And yes I ship Jonerys, but I still love Sansa and will always appreciate her as a strong character.

*Disclaimer* These similarities are based off the show not the books.
