The West Fjords are one of the most breathtakingly beautiful and least-visited corners of Iceland.
Everything here is extreme – from the table mountains that dominate the landscape to the ferocious storms that have gnawed the coastline into countless craggy inlets
Unfortunately it’s not my castle but a new owner tries to rebuild this special home at the Ísafjörður (fjord) in the Westfjords since a couple of years. Seems to be a difficult task. Once finished he’ll be rewarded by a wonderful view over the fjord.
