“Security footage obtained by NBC4 shows the terrifying moment 20-year-old Richard Shoop wielded a gun frightening shoppers in a New Jersey mall.

While Shoop didn’t actually shoot any shoppers on November 5, the mall surveillance footage shows just how tense the situation was. Shoppers dodge into stores for protection as an all black-clad Shoop stalks the corridors.
Investigators said they don’t believe Shoop intended to kill anyone and a note left by Shoop indicates that he  may have wanted to commit suicide” - Source
Funeral held for Ontario teacher killed in La Loche shooting

Friends and family said their goodbyes Saturday to Adam Wood, the local teacher killed in a school shooting in Saskatchewan last month.

Wood, 35, was among the four victims killed in a Jan. 22 shooting spree in La Loche, SK, where he began his teaching career in September. A 17-year old gunman is charged in the killing of Wood and teaching aide Marie Janvier at La Loche Community School after allegedly shooting Dayne Fontaine, 17, and Drayden Fontaine, 13 at a nearby residence.

Mourners attended a ceremony at St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church in Leaskdale, Ont. Saturday afternoon.

After his death, friends remembered Wood as a “deeply religious man” and “one of the friendliest and funniest” people they knew.

His family later released a passionate statement encouraging Canadians to use the tragedy not to point fingers but to “fuel change” in the economically depressed community plagued by high suicide rates.

“Rather than looking for someone to blame, or coming up with outsider opinions of reasons why this occurred, we must stop and listen to the voices of La Loche,” it said.

The family also encouraged donations to the newly created Fuel for Change charitable foundation to improve social conditions in La Loche.

With Taken director Pierre Morel at the helm and an accomplished actor who is hoping for his action breakthrough (Sean Penn), one can’t fault The Gunman for selling itself as another iteration of the aforementioned Liam Neeson-led franchise in order to incur more ticket sales. And while it has the against-all-odds action sequences, the plight to return a kidnapped loved one to safety, haunted pasts, double crosses and a wealth of international locales, this actioner differs in an attempt to add a layer of real-life conflict. This grounded aspect — perhaps attributed to the humanitarian-minded Penn taking part in the writing and producing — often feels muddled alongside the cliched trappings of the action genre, but ultimately makes for a slightly better-than-average revenge thriller.
