Alternative Press: Broadway Calls New Album Expected Late Summer/Early Fall 2012

For their third album, Broadway Calls are ready to go back to sonic basics and harness the energy of their earlier work into something new and exciting. It’s a hint they more or less took on their new EP Toxic Kids, and it would seem that the band plan on continuing in that direction when they head to the Blasting Room in Fort Collins, Colorado this April to record the follow-up to 2009’s Good Views, Bad News with producer Bill Stevenson (Rise Against, The Swellers, NOFX). “We have a lot of songs to choose from this time, and we’ll have even more by the time we get to the studio,” says frontman Ty Vaughn. I think this next record will be more like our first one [2007’s Broadway Calls]. A little more diverse than just mid tempo pop punk the whole way through.“

New York pop punk veterans, The Bouncing Souls, have announced that they will hit the studio in January to record their next full length.

They will be head to The Blasting Room in Colorado to record with DescendentsBill Stevenson (Rise Against, The Decline).

Expect a mid 2012 release on their own label, Chunksaah.

From The Studio

Hey friends. We’ve been in the studio since Saturday working on all these new songs for you. The Blasting Room crew have been incredible this week putting up with us and making our music better.

Enjoy these snippets of us tracking guitar followed by a look at the successful/disastrous BBQ we cooked ourselves.

Sitting in your room blasting One Direction before you receive a FaceTime from your brother, Michael, who is actually on tour with 1D. You’ve never seen or met any of the 1D boys so when you answered to see Michael with a smile plastered on his face and THE Harry Styles sitting beside him you freak out and try and act calm and collected to not embarrass yourself in front of Harry

Ahh okay so I’m listening to Hamilton at full volume and I forgot to turn down the volume before “Southern Mother****ing Democratic Republicans”.
Normally this wouldn’t be an issue, but here’s the thing: my mom is a teacher at my old school. Today her and her teacher friends went on a wine tasting, and they’re all currently sitting in my living room.
My sixth grade math teacher just heard the words “Southern Mother****ing Democratic Republicans” come blasting from my room.
I’m afraid to come out of my room.

So I was listening to pop radio this morning and I heard that song Into You by Ariana Grande and she isn't usually my cup of tea but for some reason all I can think of is 16 year old Sherlock blasting it in his room and spinning around and singing it and thinking of John. Like he is wearing some socks and briefs and a shirt he stole from John and he is just screaming "I'm so into you, I can barely breathe"

Ahhhhh he would :’) my tiny son. This song also hardcore makes me think of my job ashdfkflglgksj because where I work we have a playlist of like 6 songs on an endless loop and like, every month we might change out one or two so you hear them foreVERRRRR and this is one of them! I’m glad it’ll make me think of this, now! ♡
