So far, Canada shone brightly at the PeyongChang Olympic Games, with 7 beautiful medals, three days into the competition.

  • Justine Dufour-Lapointe won silver in the Women’s Moguls, between France’s Perrine Laffont (gold) and Kazahkstan’s Yulia Galysheva (bronze)
  • Maxence Parrot and Mark McMorris took home the silver and bronze medals in the Men’s Slopestyle, behind American Redmond Gerard
  • Ted-Jan Bloemen sped to silver in the speed skating Men’s 5000 metres, after Netherland’s Sven Kramer (gold), and before Norway’s Sverre Lunde Pedersen (bronze)
  • Mikaël Kingsbury won gold the Men’s Moguls, followed by Austrlia’s Matt Graham and Japan’s Daichi Hara
  • Canadian figure skaters Meagan Duhamel, Eric Radford (Pair), Kaetlyn Osmond, Patrick Chan, Gabrielle Daleman, Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir (Dance) gracefully won gold in the Team Event before Russia and the United States
  • Laurie Blouin immediately bounced back from injury to take the silver medal home in the Women’s Slopestyle, between American Jamie Anderson (gold) and Finn Enni Rukajärvi (bronze)
