hi guys, i'm a 14 year old girl and I always feel really fat, my current weight is around 60-65kg and i hate it! all the girls in my grade are like 40-59, i want to lose my tummy fat, my thigh fat and look healthy and skinny, i hate feeling like crap because i can't fit into like size 5 jeans, because i'm a 12! could you guys put up some workouts i could do to help me? i would really appreciate it!

Hi lovely, 

First of all what you need to remember is that you’re only young. When I was fourteen I was chubby too, and guess what? Now I’m not. Why? Because I changed my diet, I started exercising, and naturally, as my body changed, I lost weight. And if you start now, the same will happen to you. 

Secondly, stop comparing yourself to the other girls in your grade. Comparison is the thief of happiness. Please understand that what the scales say, what the tag on your shorts or dress or shirt says, means nothing at all. What’s important is how you feel, how you carry yourself, and how much confidence resides in yourself. You might not be the skinniest girl in the room, but if you are the most confident, then you will be the most beautiful. 

As for work outs, it’s important to do cardio at LEAST three times a week. 
I suggest running as it’s the easiest, if you can, join a gym or go running around your local park, street, oval, whatever. But if you can’t do that then a treadmill would be a great investment. They’re quite affordable, you don’t need anything fancy, just something that will move. You can pick some up online for around $200. Don’t worry about brands or how many options it has, just make sure it has goo reviews and it’ll be fine. 

Losing weight and staying healthy is 80% of what you eat and the rest is exercise so please, please it is SO important to have a healthy diet. When I say diet I don’t mean counting calories like crazy, I mean healthy foods like vegetables, fruits, proteins, wholegrains, teas, that kinda stuff. There is a link in our side bar called recipes which will have links to several different healthy foods that you can make, lots of them are really simple and cheap to make. If you’d like more recipes, I suggest going to TasteSpotting.com as it has a fantastic range of recipes to choose from. 

Exercise wise, now that you’ve got cardio down you’re going to want to do some core and strength training. I’ve compiled a few work out mixes you can do, there are three so you can mix them up throughout the week: (Oh and make sure you stretch before each workout!)
