The Sun, one of Allah’s most extrodinary creations, Subhanallah (glorious is God). The following quote from the quran proves that the Sun creates it’s own light, whereas the moon reflects it and has several phases.
‘It is He who made the sun a shining light and the moon a derived light and determined for it phases - that you may know the number of years and account [of time]. Allah has not created this except in truth. He details the signs for a people who know’
“And if Allah should touch you with adversity, there is no remover of it except Him; and if He intends for you good, then there is no repeller of His bounty. He causes it to reach whom He wills of His servants. And He is the Forgiving, the Merciful.”
“Say, ‘Observe what is in the heavens and earth.’ But of no avail will be signs or warners to a people who do not believe”
(Quran - 10:101)
Why don’t these people believe in G_d? I mean come on, look at the intricate design of the earth, animals and our own bodies. I just don’t understand how someone cannot believe in G_d?”- we ask ourselves over and over….
In the Quran, it says over and over, do they not see the signs that surround them? The moon? The sun? And even to the point that they are questioned, so which of the favors of your lord do you deny?
This verse sums it up, these signs are of no benefit to those who disbelieve. As said in verses previous, it is as if they are blind, they see the signs of Allah but are blind to internalizing them.
May we be protected from ignoring the signs of Allah and always remember our Lord, the King of All kings and the one that knows us more than we know ourselves.
In sha Allah!!
سورة يونس لعام 1426 هـ - Surat Yunus from verse 71
And recite to them the news of Noah, when he said to his people, “O my people, if my residence and my reminding of the signs of Allah has become burdensome upon you - then I have relied upon Allah . So resolve upon your plan and [call upon] your associates. Then let not your plan be obscure to you. Then carry it out upon me and do not give me respite.
