And love is
not a song
you always
sing out loud—
inside a cave
that surrounds
your heart—
love is
as silence
as the dark
lonely night,
where no one
will hear it,
where no one
will echo it back.

list of professions/goals for ronan lynch that he’d be fucking brilliant at:

  • pet shelter owner (self-explanatory)
  • professional fighting (maybe a graduation from underground stuff and getting discovered? y’know, allowing all that goddamn aggression to go somewhere productive and separate from his issues with his dad?)
  • travelling to ireland at some point, maybe track down other members of the lynch clan, or just get back to his roots, or like!!! appreciate ireland bc it’s fucking beautiful!!!!
  • ronan lynch: house flipper (aka one of my fave things to come out of ronan meta)
  • working with blue sargent in a civil liberties advocacy group that she starts out of her shitty apartment in west hollywood (listen. listen to me. ronan is a gay, animal-loving alcoholic whose boyfriend comes from a severely abused background, with a natural affinity for learning new things and a fierce appreciation for restricted civil and property rights. he would mature beyond his 18 year old concept of “cool”. let him.)
  • that being said…….
  • trolling antique roadshows with his dream objects that are just this side of believable. he does things via gansey so it looks vaguely Legit, but he gets a huge amount of pleasure from seeing geriatric elitist reactions to tantalisingly almost-proof that Atlantis exists
  • adam would definitely pitch most of the ideas
  • gansey despairs of them both
  • henry takes pictures to document them all
  • blue cries with laughter at every one he sends her
  • where was i?
  • ah yes!
  • officially adopting opal and being incredibly active in the pta
  • tracking down that entire band of dream-object-peddling bastards and destroy them from the inside out for causing the death of both his parents and the terrorisation of his hometown (although that last bit is probably far too gansey-like for him to voice out loud)
  • literally anything more than just staying in his house and waiting for adam to come home???????????????

feel free to add to this list with your own ronan dreams

I’m in love with the moon. She’s bright in the darkest corners of my mind. She’s beautiful in the night sky when all of the stars bow down to her. Gently her words wash over me like waves when it feels like the whole world is crashing down on me. With gravity holding me hostage to the ground, her light radiates and can easily make me feel like I’m flying. She’s everything that my heart desires. That’s why I’m in love with her..

11 Legendary Libraries Around the World

If there is one thing book nerds love even more than books, it’s the places that house them—a.k.a. libraries.  To show our library love, we’ve compiled a list of 11 of the most iconic and intriguing libraries from around the world that all bibliophiles must visit.

1. Royal Seat of San Lorenzo de El Escorial in San Lorenzo de El Escorial, Spain

Wouldn’t you love to move in here?

2. Central Library at National Autonomous University of Mexico in Mexico City, Mexico

If it looks like this from the outside, how incredible it must be from the inside!

3.  Bishan Public Library in Singapore

A cubicle with a view of your own to read? Yes, please!

4. Strahov Monastery Library in Czech Republic

Wouldn’t you love to be glued to a seat in this beautiful place?

5. The National Library of Belarus in Minsk

This library is as cool as its location.

6.  The Biblioteca Marciana in Venice, Italy

Built in 1564, this is one of the earliest surviving libraries in Italy. Renaissance architect Jacopo Sansovino designed the library, which took him 50 years to finish.

7. St. Florian Monastery in Sankt Florian, Austria

Gorgeous aesthetics, a breathtaking ceiling fresco, and towering stacks of books make this legendary library a treat for any book nerd. It was completed in 1750, and a significant portion of its 150,000-volume collection dates back to before the 19th century. In addition, many of the titles inside were printed in Europe prior to 1501.

8. The Cottbus Library in Germany

Designed by the Swiss firm of Herzog & de Meuron, Cottbus’s highlight is the colored concrete spiral staircases. It won the Library of the Year Award in 2006 for “setting new benchmarks for access to multimedia worlds of knowledge.”

9. The Library of the Dutch Parliament in Handelingenkamer, Netherlands

It contains every record of parliamentary hearings and discussions. Since it was built before electric lighting was used, the building was constructed with a massive leaded glass dome in the ceiling to allow light and minimize the use of candles and gas lamps inside.

10. The George Peabody Library in Baltimore, MD

Now we know why students are dying to go to Johns Hopkins University. It’s because of this 19th century library that is home to a 300,000-volume collection, which reflects the scholarly interests and fads of that time period.

11. National Library of Brazil in Rio de Janeiro

This library contains approximately nine million items. It also features a 19th-century collection of tens of thousands of photographs that registered with the UNESCO Memory of the World Programme.

ro laren is really awesome in the books & i relate to her VERY MUCH:

- she’s impulsive af & have a lot of trouble to follow the hierarchy when she thinks something is wrong

- she’s not afraid to tell the truth even if it hurts someone

- she’s an angry sjw & compared to a lot of starfleet officers she’s willing to give up her personal comfort real quick if she has to (like when she chose to join the maquis because she believed it was the right thing to do)

- she’s an introvert & she just likes to be alone sometimes

- she doesn’t give a fuck if you don’t like her just go away and bye

- but despite everything she cares about others while humbly seeking to do her duty

- ro laren is amazing, brave & strong & i will fight anyone who says otherwise
