Life Companions…

Well, usually i don’t really consider all the people lost on their phones who i met while i’m wandering through the streets of this city as valuable subjects for street photography…

I mean, there are so many of them… Practically at every corner you can meet someone who is just standing there looking at his\her phone in a sort of “trance”…

And it’s something i’m used to do as well…

But lately i’ve started noticing how much smartphones are part of our lives… They are not just something we use to connect through each others when we can’t see ourselves in person…

They are something that we use to comunicate even when the person to which we are talking to is right in front of us… I mean, it’s so easy to see a nice couple hugging themselves, maybe even kissing, with an eye on their own phones…

It’s like we are living between two different realities…
Two different lives…

One of them is virtual, for sure, and it’s limited to the net, to the phone…

But i cannot prevent myself from wondering about how many time it will take us to start losing this limits at all… How many time it will take us to lost the connection with reality?

Who knows…
Maybe i’m just sinking in a glass of water, as always, but this kind of things make me very sad sometimes…
