Still-a-favourite-of-mine

‘Just because you let me eat you out, doesn’t mean you’re a lesbian.’-Narrative, 2016, Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama

I don’t know if you’re still doing favourite song asks, but mine is Migraine. Even when I’m listening casually and not really paying attention to the lyrics, everything just clicks because it’s such a familiar and comforting tune. It’s my go-to song in moments of weakness and doubt. When things get really bad, I listen to it on repeat and the lyrics hit me like a truck every time. I honestly feel like this song has saved me multiple times, and I’m so grateful it exists

you can talk about favourite songs any time you like, friend. what’s interesting is i actually checked the numbers from all those asks and the most frequent songs people said helped them most by almost double the rest were tied between migraine and guns for hands, but you tip it in favour of migraine. it seems like that song saves a lot of people and is lyrically very important

Dracula the Unconquered #3 was really fun, but I don’t think I’ll ever get over Sir Francis Varney as a powerful evil mastermind. In the book, he’s pretty pathetic for a vampire, he’s definitely not evil (he does bad things against his better judgement, but he’s always remorseful).

Not that I’m a Varney the Vampire purist - it was a terrible, terrible book - but I really liked the character in spite of the book he was in. Seeing what is essentially a brand-new character with the same name is a little off-putting to me.

But besides that, and my worry that the newly introduced Carmilla won’t be a lesbian (’cause she is, dammit, I’m adamant on that), it was a great adventure book. The art by Steve Downer was particularly incredible.

Anyway, here’s my take on the original Varney. I did this many years ago, but it’s still one of my favourite drawings of mine.

RE: rant

When I posted that rant, I was thinking solely from a theoretical, pseudo-objective standpoint, and wasn’t really thinking about the fact that people will put more emphasis on the way a song makes them feel rather than whether or not it’s “better” sonically.

I guess i’m the same way, really. I first heard of LTS through Illusion is Mine, as I would sing duets with a friend in animation class, and Illusion is Mine is a song that was featured prominently. I then heard Abnormalize which was how I finally got around to marathoning Psycho-Pass because I loved it so much.

But Illusion is Mine is still my favourite because I loved singing it with him, and that experience was how I really fell in love with their work.

So it was kinda hypocritical of me as well. So, I’m sorry. And thank you to the people who cleared it up for me.

I need to stop clashing K-pop with every single fandom I’m involved in. orz

Nonetheless, here’s my fanmade MV teaser of Infinite’s ‘Man In Love’ (EVEN THOUGH THE SONG CAME OUT 3 YEARS AGO–), a combination of all individual member teasers into one clip (+ bits and pieces from the actual MV). BGM is ‘Taste The Satisfaction’ from the anime Free. I had this idea while I was listening to the anime’s soundtrack cause this track seriously gives me the same nostalgic vibes I got from Sungyeol’s individual teaser video. Yay for similar chords. orz
