This image employs a number of early photographic techniques. First, there is the perspective control that ensures the vertical lines are correct. Next is the quality of light used in this image. It closely approximates the sensitivity of orthochromatic film. Then there is the resolution of the final image. Using a simple 14.4mpixel sensor, I created an image that is very high resolution (8000+ pixels in the long dimension). An archival digital print is indistinguishable from a fine platinum contact print up to 16x20inches in size!
