A Day In The Life Of Seattle With Out The Sonics is a short film featuring Supersonics legend Slick Watts and Seattle founded hip-hop duo the Blue Scholars as well as other cameos by Donald Watts, Neema of Unexpected Arrival, J. Pinder, and Vitamin D. The video also dubs as a feature for the Blue Scholars single “Slick Watts” off their album dropping next month titled Cinametropolis. Clay Bennett denied the Sonicsgate requst to include the 1979 NBA Championship trophy in the video.

(Timing is everything, it is only fitting that I blog this video today as the Oklahoma City Thunder just lost Game 5 last night, dropping the series 4-1 to the Dallas Mavericks. #ThunderDown)

Sonicsgate (2009)

Exposing the truth behind the Seattle SuperSonics’ tragic exodus after 41 years in the Emerald City.

The TRUTH exposed, for everyone to see!!! FUCK YOU Starbucks!

Great job by the sonicsgate.org group “Bring back our Sonics!!!”. A city loses a team another gains it… how? through FUCKED UP (dark/abusive/corrupt) BUSINESS.

The politics behind basketball is ridiculous, and just plain selfish. Basketball IS the fans, the people ARE basketball. This is a sad story of something loved leaving…

Kudos to Oklahoma City Thunder for doing well in the playoffs this year. We ain’t mad at you.

Goddamn, i miss the Sonics…

And in closing: CONGRATULATIONS to the 2011 NBA champs!!! the DALLAS MAVERICKS and for proving that: Championships are earned, NOT bought.
