We were in Boulder yesterday and after being recommended this place by a ton of our Colorado fans, decided it was time to see what all the fuss is about. Opened in September of 2011, Snooze “AM Eatery” has rapidly become a Boulder staple for breakfast and lunch. I was thrilled to see that there is beer on draught too. Currently they are carrying Upslope from North Boulder, and the infamous Avery Brewing Co.
We dined at Snooze on a Friday morning, but still had to wait for a table, but we wee warmly welcomed by the friendly hostess and a free cup of Guatemalan coffee, fresh roasted just for the restaurant. The mood was light and it was obvious that the employees were happy here. If I worked for a restaurant with as cool of a concept as Snooze, I know I’d be happy to be at work too.
Typically, we like simple breakfasts; so, it was only natural to order the 3 eggs any way with bacon. The bacon was so delicious and the eggs cooked perfectly, over easy. There was homemade choke-cherry jam for our toast, which has oaks on the crusts. All in all, we were very satisfied with the meal, environment, and a had an incredible start to the day.
Check out Snooze’s website for details on all the current locations, including Denver and FoCo. We may have to scope out the Denver location sometime soon!
