Any goal requires effort on your part. It will affect your decisions and the more decisions you make based on your passion towards achieving that goal, the faster you’ll get to it. If your goal is to be fit and strong, you’ll be making decisions several times a day. Should I do at least a short workout or should I skip exercise all together today? Should I eat this donut or should I have an apple instead? Should I go drinking tonight or should I have a quiet evening, and wake up early tomorrow and go for a bike ride? You always have a choice and you can give in to cravings for an instant gratification in the form of junk food or you can stay mindful, recognize your cravings, acknowledge them and decide you’re going to be strong and make a decision that will make you feel ultimately more happy. I have so many goals myself and I wanted to tell you that it feels amazing when you notice that you’re efforts are finally starting to show. I just made a little progress in strength yesterday that I’ve been working towards for a while now, and it made me so happy. I wish the same for you. Why don’t you give that a try this week and start asking yourself this question several times a day: “Is this taking me closer to my goal?” If the answer is no, try to come up with an alternative that will help you in the long run even if it’s not exactly what you want to do right now. What do you think? Can you do that?
