235 dead in Attack on Sufi Mosque in Egypt
By Declan Walsh

Islamist militants detonated a bomb inside a crowded mosque in Bir al-Abed, Egypt and then sprayed gunfire on panicked worshipers as they fled the building, killing at least 235 people and wounding at least 109 others.

UPDATE (25 November, 2017): the death toll has raised to 305.

As if we and terrorists were one and the same.
I used the expression “Muslim on Muslim crime” after I found it in a French alt-right/neonazi article comment section, it was just after the Quebec Mosque attack, at that time little was known, presumably the attacker said “Allah u Akbar”(which was not the case since he was a non-muslim White guy) and people on this website were positively jumping in happiness and gushing about how it was “une attaque entre ces enculés de musulman” and how natural selection was doing its job.
I thought at that time that “Muslim on Muslim crime” was a completely accurate description of how western societies as an all perceive us being bombed and gunned down like dogs by thousands all around the world, and explained the absolutely non-existent empathic reaction, as we and these terrorists have been fused into one entity for more than 16 years now.

Paris’ mayor says the Eiffel Tower will go black at midnight in homage to the victims of the deadly assault in Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula.

Via Twitter, Anne Hidalgo addressed her “condolences to the victims’ families” and her “support to the people wounded” after Friday’s attack in which at least 200 people were killed. She said that turning off the lights at the famed Paris monument would send a message of solidarity from the French capital that has itself been the site of a spate of deadly extremist attacks in recent years.

French President Emmanuel Macron also went to Twitter to send his “condolences to the victims of the terrible attack” against Sinai’s Bir El-Abd mosque that was attacked by militants during Friday prayers who targeted worshippers with gunfire.

Death toll raised to 200

At least 200 people have been killed and scores more injured in a devastating bomb and gun assault on a mosque in Egypt’s north Sinai.

The attack was one of the deadliest in the country in recent memory, marking a major escalation in Cairo’s battle with regional insurgents. The death toll, reported by state media, rose repeatedly on Friday afternoon as more details emerged.

More than 50 ambulances ferried casualties from al-Rawdah mosque in Bir al-Abed, west of Arish city, to nearby hospitals. At least 125 people were injured.

A bomb ripped through the mosque as Friday prayers were finishing, then militants in four off-road vehicles approached and opened fire on worshippers, a military source told the Guardian.

No group claimed responsibility for the assault, but it was the deadliest yet in a region where, for the last three years, Egyptian security forces have battled an Islamic State insurgency that has killed hundreds of police and soldiers.
