Sherlock-x-Watson

Normality

@shelbsdoodle requested: Hey! U-um… I was wondering… is there any way you’d be cool with a Johnlock fic where the reader is their kid? Like they act like Sherlock but they want to be normal so they fight with their parents then run off then family fluff anf acceptance.?

Sorry it took too long to come out but here you go my dear. I hope this is what you meant.

[Y/N] Watson-Holmes was smart. There was no denying that they had inherited Sherlock’s intellect and wit. Fast paced thinking and great at excelling in problem solving. They just wanted to fit in and it was difficult with their high IQ and their parents didn’t make it any easier on them.

It didn’t take long for Sherlock to notice the change in their behaviour. Spending less time with not only him but less time with John as well. Talking to the both of them rarely but having long conversations with Mrs Hudson or Lestrade when he found himself at Watson-Holmes residence. It puzzled him. “The point I’m trying to make is that I am the most unpleasant…rude, ignorant, and all around obnoxious asshole that anyone could possibly have the misfortune to meet. I am dismissive of the virtuous, unaware of the beautiful, and uncomprehending in the face of the happy. So if I didn’t understand I was asked to be best man it is because I never expected to be anybody’s best friend. And Certainly not the best friend of the bravest, and kindest and the wisest human being I have ever had the good fortune of knowing. John, I am a ridiculous man. Redeemed only by the warmth and constancy of your friendship.”
