Oliver Queen first became Green Arrow in 1940, was a member of the original Seven Soldiers of Victory, was time-displaced from 1945 along with his comrades, and was brought forward to a much later date and then became a member of the Justice League.
haul from the last 6 weeks or so. some were birthday gifts and others i got for a great price, but i still might have gone a little bit overboard lol. a lot of books here i’ve been meaning to read for a long time, like nameless, new frontier, dc one million, cullen bunn’s magneto, and the kieron gillen’s journey into mystery stuff.
People need to appreciate Klarion more, if you read any of the comics with him before you watched Young Justice you should have realized how inaccurate of a voice actor he has. People complaining that they dislike him because of his voice just piss me off because it’s just so terrible. He would never sound like that, I don’t care what Young Justice says. Klarion’s character, though always self absorbed, is also portrayed differently in every series, there’s a Klarion for everyone!
Grant Morrison has been one of my favorite comic book writers ever since i first read his run on animal man years ago. like many people, i thought the idea of animal man was pretty lame and uninteresting at first, but Morrison was able to breath new life into Buddy Baker and turn him into one of the most human and relatable characters in comics. it blew my mind at the time, and i’ve been hooked ever since. to me he’s sort of like the aesop rock of comic book writers. here’s everything i own by him, do any of y'all who are familiar with work have any recommendations other than what’s pictured here? aside from batman gothic, 52, joe the barbarian, one million, seaguy, and nameless which i plan on picking up eventually.
