My morning goes like this:

30 minutes of silence as follows:

- roll out of bed
- 5 mins seated meditation
- 10 mins of gentle yoga
- 5 mins oil pulling while I tidy up
- brush teeth/wash face/dress
- 5 mins contemplation/journaling + tea

Easy and effective way to start my day with intention. Can you wake up 30 minutes, or even 15 minutes earlier to implement a few of these daily practices? I encourage you to try, you’ll notice the benefits immediately. :)

The Root Chakra

Working my way up the body, in chakras!

To heal your chakra, work through the emotional issues listed under the overactive/underactive. Include some foods or scents in your daily diet/routine. Say the mantras a few times a day, with meaning (modify them to your taste and by your intuition). You can also always just meditate on the location and imagining a bright light that is the color of the chakra on its corresponding place on the body.

What is it:

The root chakra is the first chakra in the body chakra system (the seven main chakras). It sits at the base of your spine, near the tailbone. It is in charge of feelings of security, survival needs, and protection. It connects you to the element of earth.
