“Jefferson!” Y/N called, chasing her best friend. “Jefferson!!!” she called aain. “What Y/N?” Jefferson laughed, finally turning around to see her. Y/N sat on the ground for a moment catching her breath, “Here-string.” “For what?” Jefferson asked. Y/N got back up, “Your hat of course dummy.” “Oh yea, thanks Y/N.” Jefferson smiled. “It ripped right?” Y/N asked. “Yea it did. I kinda fixed it already though.” Jefferson laughed. “Oh damn I just ran for nothing.” Y/N responded. “How about we go sit down for some lunch then?” Jefferson asked. “I’d love to.” Y/N smiled.
Y/N and Jefferson went to Granny’s diner and sat down to eat. “So how are you?” Jefferson asked. “Great, tired now, but great.” Y/N laughed. “Good. You’re the best friend I could ask for. You literally would do anything for me, I you too.” Jefferson smiled. “That’s what friend’s are for.” Y/N responded. She kept looking over at a couple, holding hands across the table and laughing. “What are you looking at?” Jefferson said turning around to see the couple. “Nothing.” Y/N said, “You know love is stupid.” “Stupid?” Jefferson asked, “You just a jealous you don’t have it.” Y/N blushed, “What ever.” Jefferson smiled at her, looking into her eyes. “Why are you looking at me like that?” Y/N asked. “Oh, nothing.” Jefferson responded. “Come on, what is it?” Y/N asked poking Jefferson from across the table. “Do you really want to know Y/N?” Jefferson asked. “Well I’m your best friend, I should get to know.” Y/N laughed. “Y/N I don’t want to just be your best friend. I, I love you. I have since I met you.” Jefferson said. Y/N looked down trying to hide her blush, “I don’t know what to say.” “Don’t say anything then.” Jefferson responded, “The blush on your face says it all.” Y/N looked up, “I love you too, that’s why I care about you so much. It’s why I’d do anything for you.” Jefferson reached his hand across the table to hold Y/N’s, “I knew it.” Y/N laughed, “Since we got all that out, how about we call this our first date?” “Deal.” Jefferson smiled. Y/N looked back at the couple, who were now gone, “Seems we are the ones holding hands across the table now.” Jefferson smiled at her, “I guess we are, beautiful. Is love stupid now?”
