Polaroids from the set of 1995’s Kids, the film that made stars of both Rosario Dawson & Chloe Sevigny. Dawson was discovered by the film’s writer, Harmony Korine, and director, Larry Clark, while sitting on the stoop of her East Village apartment building. Though Sevigny was dating Korine at the time (and he wrote the lead with her in mind), she was only offered the part two days before shooting began. She spent the estimated $3,000 she earned on a trip to Paris and London. Not too shabby for a nineteen-year-old whose only prior professional experience was as a Sassy intern.
