San Diego county

Twilight Fell, by RussellMcGuire

I had this picture in black and white but decided to upload the color one instead. For those who have never been, this place is called Scripps Pier and it is just north of San Diego in La Jolla. This sunset on the pier only happens two times a year and be ready for a madhouse when it does. I was one of maybe forty other photographers who decided to go out and shoot it. Luckily, I was somewhat in the middle and only had to elbow/knockout a few other photographers and an old lady to get the shot. The Scripps Institution of Oceanography(sometimes referred to as SIO, Scripps Oceanography, or Scripps) in San Diego, California, founded in 1903, is one of the oldest and largest centers for ocean and Earth science research, public service, undergraduate and graduate training in the world. Hundreds of ocean and Earth scientists conduct research with the aid of oceanographic research vesselsand shorebased laboratories.
