Salat

Different backgrounds… Different languages… Different social and economic levels… Different ages… And the Imam says “estawou” which means “ line up”… Within seconds more than three million people line up perfectly… Ready to obey the command of Allah… No supervision required… No army general issuing commands… No Law enforcement… “Allahu Akbar”… And all the hands swerve up to signify that there is nothing in this existence greater than Allah…

Subhaan Allah… May Allah swt grant this beautiful ummah, peace, stability and unity Ameen…

When it’s 1 am and you cannot sleep because the tickle in your throat has you coughing your lungs out and no matter how many pillows you use you just can’t seem to prop the cough away, or because you drank 2 cups of coffee so that you could bust out that essay or read that chapter and now the caffeine’s effects are still at work, or because your thoughts are stealing away the night - telling you everything you need to do, everything you didn’t do, everything you’re supposed to have done, and everything you need to be …

That’s when it’s the best time for you to stand before your Lord in salat.

The best solution to a sleepless night is worship :) Let tahajjud make a restless night into a productive and cleansing night.

SAHİH-alBUKHARİ : Call to Prayer : Hadith 13

Narrated Abu Huraira:

Allah’s Apostle said, “If the people knew the reward for pronouncing the Adhan and for standing in the first row (in congregational prayers) and found no other way to get that except by drawing lots they would draw lots, and if they knew the reward of the Zuhr prayer (in the early moments of its stated time) they would race for it (go early) and if they knew the reward of ‘Isha’ and Fajr (morning) prayers in congregation, they would come to offer them even if they had to crawl.”
