Said the Whale

Vancouver folk rockers Said The Whale invite us to “Step Into The Darkness” with their beautiful new single, the first from their upcoming full length As Long As Your Eyes Are Wide, out March 31st on Hidden Pony Records. Except, instead of stepping into the dark, I find myself bathed in a warm, comforting glow. The trio serenades us by melding synth hued luster with rustic charm, lifting our spirits and reassuring us in the sublime process.

for rolling in sheets and dancing in bedrooms, for tongues on each other’s teeth between songs and hands clasped the whole time, for breathy smiles and laughs at the pitch of love [listen]
