Dave Grohl fell off the stage and broke his leg — but finished the show anyway

“I think I just broke my leg. I think I really broke my leg,” Grohl had informed the Gothenburg, Sweden audience. “Ladies and gentleman, let me tell you right now that I’m going to go to the hospital and I’m going to fix my leg, but then I’m going to come back and we’re going to play for you again. I’m so sorry.” And he absolutely did.

The lyrics he has written, the lyrics he tweets, the photographs he takes, the ink on his skin…how much longer are people going to deny the fact that there is a message that Harry Styles is clearly trying to get across?

I was 12 years old when I told my parents I was gonna be a rock star. They said, ‘That’s nice, honey.’ When I was 16 they said, ‘You gotta give up the band and start studying, have something to fall back on.’ To fall back on something sounds like giving up right away. Fuck that. I dropped out of school for six months, but I went back ‘cause I missed my friends. But I didn’t take any [real] classes, I went to, like, woodshop and debate, and those were the only classes I passed in two years. I remember we did some sort of exercise in social studies where you had to pick a career and follow it through and set your early income, and what you had to do, and what you had to own and all of that. I was given mine back by the teacher and told ‘Rock Star’ was not a realistic undertaking. He said only one in a million can be ‘the one,’ and I said, ‘I’m fucking that one!’ I didn’t understand why I couldn’t be. Everybody was always telling me I could be anything I wanted to be, and I believed that. When Alice In Chains packed out the Central Tavern two nights in a row, that’s when I was completely satisfied. That’s when my dreams came true. In Seattle, I was a rock star! Record companies started coming around. But I had never even thought about that. It was enough to be a star in Seattle. Playing stadiums just puts you in a daze. Playing someplace like the Crocodile again is more like it. You’re connected again. It’s real.

the reason Harry wasn’t in that interview was because he was “sick”

aka  Harry was just fine prior to that interview, but had thrown shade at their merchandise promo and had talked about growing his hair longer, getting his ears pierced, and commented on how a female interviewer’s top would look great on him

“sick” is code for 1DHQ having an “OH SHIT” moment

7 times Pink awesomely stood up for herself

When Pink wanted to take her music in a new direction in the early 2000s, she says her label president, L.A. Reid, was not totally supportive. “He said I was abandoning my fans and that was a mistake. He felt that if the music isn’t broken, don’t fix it. He said: ‘You’re a new artist. You can’t do this.’” Her next move is why she’s such an inspiring badass.

So a few days ago, Harry tweets lyrics from Mary Lambert’s song Secrets, which is about being tired of keeping secrets and having to hide…among those secrets is one about being gay

And today Harry tweets an idiom that has two meanings, that people discover the truth when things come out, and also that everything is going to be okay

These tweets are only a few days apart.  Harry is one bold and brave individual, and I honestly just have the highest respect for him.
