Freedom of speech is a wonderful thing, but it doesn’t extend to freedom from repercussions. The actions of those two men in Texas were deplorable, and the only reason more people aren’t dead today as a result of this contest is that everyone knew what would be the reaction.
People who are upset that a man got away with murder are just so unreasonable, aren’t they? I can just picture Ariail watching his TV, scoffing at those ridiculous protesters and thinking “How can they expect to be taken seriously when they get so emotional?”
One, Picasso did more than just cubism, even if that’s what he’s famous for. Two, that doesn’t even look cubist! I understand most people have a small reference pool for art (I certainly have no expertise on the subject), but I know that cubism isn’t just scribbles or random shapes. You knew when Picasso drew a woman.
If you wanted to mix a “My child could draw that” cliche with a limp-wristed slap at Jack Lew, couldn’t you at gone with Jackson Pollock? Or is that outside your frame of reference, you hack?
