Some of you might be waking up to discover the unfortunate news about the untimely passing of actor Stefán Karl Stefánsson. The vast majority of you probably know him as Lazytown antagonist Robbie Rotten, thanks in no small part to the silvagunner-led surge in popularity to the song “We are number one”. Others might know him for his vast theater career, or even in the game For Honor. Regardless of how you came to know him, at only 43 years of age his death is absolutely devastating for a lot of people – the world is less without him.
“Time is the most valuable thing in life because it never comes back. And whether you spend it in the arms of a loved one or alone in a prison cell, life is what you make of it. Dream big.”
Mac Miller passed away today due to an apparent overdose. I can’t admit to being more than a casual fan, but when I did listen, I always felt like he was a deeply under-rated talent whose voice was vital in the current school of rap. Addiction is a monster, and it has robbed us of too many creative, bright spirits. Wishing light and healing to his family and all of his fans. 🙏🏽
When people ask me if a god created the universe, I tell them that the question itself makes no sense. Time didn’t exist before the big bang, so there is no time for god to make the universe in. It’s like asking directions to the edge of the earth; The Earth is a sphere; it doesn’t have an edge; so looking for it is a futile exercise. We are each free to believe what we want, and it’s my view that the simplest explanation is; there is no god. No one created our universe, and no one directs our fate. This leads me to a profound realization; There is probably no heaven, and no afterlife either. We have this one life to appreciate the grand design of the universe, and for that I am extremely grateful.
