What about a soul mate au where you hear background music for the most important parts of your life, and when you meet your soul mate it’s dramatic and romantic music

But on the other hand…..

“Guys we really shouldn’t go in there, can’t you hear the creepy ass music? I don’t want to get killed.”

“Fuck I’m pretty sure this is fighting music I can’t fight you I have exams to study for.”

“Oh no poor kitty why are you out here all on your-NO STOP THE SAD MUSIC THIS CAT ISN’T GONNA DIE JUST WATCH ME”

Restaurant AU

Pearl is the polite but precise waitress who will remember your order no matter what, but Will Not Touch your screaming child when it reaches for her

Amethyst is the creative chef who makes great food, but can get a little careless and if she sends you out the ravioli instead of the fettuccine you’re gonna eat it anyway

Garnet is the sarcastic owner who stands around and looks good, and we love her for it, she is also the saving grace of the place so they don’t lose all their money to cleaning supplies (Pearl) and food experiments (Amethyst)

Peridot is a buser and Lapis is a dishwasher respectively, between them they break the most dishes in the place, Peridot in her excitement, Lapis out of spite and grogginess

Jasper is the delivery girl and brings food to the store, she lifts heavy things to impress the owner regardless of the situation, it doesn’t really work

Steven and Connie are the best patrons and get more free samples than they rightfully should.

Imagine if you will:

  •  a version of HoO where part of Frank’s curse is that every time he uses his powers, a little bit of his driftwood burns away.
  • He notices one day but doesn’t tell anyone.
  • The entire quest he never flinches when he needs to use his powers to save his friends.
  • As the dust settles between the Greeks and the Romans, Hazel notices smoke coming from the supposed-to-be-fireproof pouch.
  • She opens it just in time to see the last little bit of drift wood be consumed by flame.
  • She hears gasps and yells for help, and runs toward where a crowd has formed. It parts for her and in the middle lays a dying Frank, half animal half boy. Body mangled and unsure which form it wants to be its last.
  • He’s a little delirious when Hazel approaches him and he whispers “Did I do it Hazel? Did I clear my family’s name with the Legion? Was I brave?” Hazel chokes out a “Yes, Frank. You did great”
  • Frank smiles up at her as his head rests back against the ground for the last time.
