The New Horizons team made a case for why Pluto should be a planet (but Pluto is still not a planet).

The energy of personal planets is expressed internally, and thus are always within our line of sight and accessible to us. They are the tools with which we achieve the needs and wants represented by the Luminaries.

Mercury allows us to solve life’s problems, and communicate our ideas and desires. Venus connects us with others in order to satisfy our emotional needs, it shows us how to appreciate and be inspired by the beauty of others and the world around us. Mars is the drive that we use to accomplish our goals, and it is the life force with which we create.

Social planets commonly manifest externally in the outer world as people that we meet and things that happen to us. We subconsciously program our environment with these energies so that we can grow and learn. While the energies of these planets can be internalized, it’s relatively uncommon and no one is able to fully control them.

Jupiter becomes the lucky breaks we receive, and the teachers and mentors that we meet who help us along our path. Saturn manifests as the hardships that we face and the difficulties that we must overcome in order to mature as human beings.

Transpersonal planets are largely inaccessible to us. We may feel the itch of Uranus making us feel stifled and oppressed, the dreamy intuition and delusion of Neptune, or the fear of Pluto calling us to crave power and control but for the most part these planets are expressed externally and play a large role in our interaction with larger societal issues and structures.

Uranus is externalized as the unexpected (and often unpleasant) changes that force us to into rapid growth. Societally it becomes the growing unrest and dissatisfaction that is felt by a people whose government no longer serves them. Neptune is externalized in the ways that we’re deceived by others, the dreams and delusions that we project on to our reality in order to make the world feel safer. Societally it manifests as the glamour and trickery of mass media and the idolization of celebrities, it also becomes the ideas of what constitutes spirituality and what does not. Pluto is externalized as others who try and control and manipulate us, a force which makes us grasp our own power to retaliate and rise anew. Societally it becomes the power games that are played in politics, and what we consider important in our relationship with governance.

Basic transits meaning

Feel free to add + correct something! I’m still learning about this so your help is amazing :)

I’ll cover the houses here. If you want to check your transits, here you have a tutorial by @astrologanize

Sun: focus, where you shine brighter than ever! Where the sun falls, it’ll be your main interest for a certain time. For example, Sun transiting your 11th house will focus on social life, friend groups and your dreams. Sun transiting your 6th house will be focused on routine and getting things done, rather than dreaming and being social.

Moon: this planet’s transits are really short (2 days approximately), so its effect is more like “daily mood” than big and meaningful cycles in your life. These transits show where your emotions are focused on, and where you may be more creative. I highly recommend to check the sign where the transit Moon is in! For example, Cancer moon is transiting in your 2nd house. That’ll mean you’re a lot more attached emotionally to your material goods, and you may buy too many things during this transit. Of course, this feeling only last for like two days so next week you might regret all the useless things you’ve bought…

Mercury: this planet’s transits tend to last one month aproximately. These transits show where your mental focus is, your mental state and what kind of subjects are you up to learn. Plus, it brings a lot of energy to the house’s activities. For example, Mercury transiting the 3rd house will be a lot more witty and will seek more mental stimulation than usual. It may be difficult to stop thinking and you may jump from one thought to the next fearly quickly. This is a good time to focus on mental activities, like school or college.

Venus: this planet’s transits last about one month. This transits tend to show where you feel more confident and social. If it isn’t in a bad aspect with any natal planet, it’ll be a good transit. Depending the house transit Venus is, you may be a lot more creative and artsy. For example, Venus transiting your 5th house will make you more prone to flirting without a clear objective, more like an entertaiment than a real affair. This placement is perfect for creative activities, like drawing.

Mars: this planet’s transits last about one month. This brings a boost of energy to the activities concerned to the transited house, and may indicate what drives you during that time. For example, Mars transiting your 9th house will be eager to learn, and motivation to travel and experience new things.

The following planets have a wider orbit around the sun, therefore, they stay longer in each house. Personally, I think their effects are way more crucial than, for example, the moon’s.

Saturn: this planet’s transits last about one or two years. It is mostly seen as a hard aspect because it shows where one have work to do in order to reach a goal, where we don’t feel enough and it sometimes lead to insecurity and limitations. For example, Saturn transiting in the 10th house can make you feel useless in your career and vulnerable in front of others, and you might feel your work isn’t rewarded. This is a good time to work harder than ever and find holes in your public image and goals.

Jupiter: this planet’s transits last for one year. It shows where you find yourself luckier and happier, and what will help you to expand your life. This is generally seen as a good transit, not matter what kind of aspects it has with your natal planets. For example, Jupiter in the 12th house finds happiness and expansion through relaxing and spiritual ways, like meditation. This is a good time to analyze yourself and let your ego wash away.

Uranus: this planet spends many years in one house and sign. It brings change and mental energy. Change is abrupt and may be caused by a change of mentality or plain boredom. Uranus is here to start new things, to dare and to challenge you. For example, if Uranus is in your 1st house, you may feel you need to change your appearence and your identity may be challenged. This is a good time to change your style and re-create yourself.

Neptune: this planet spends many years in one house and sign. Where it is placed, things get burried. It’s a time where you are more creative, spiritual and confused at the same time. This transit paints a certain part of your life with fantasy. If Neptune is transiting your 6th house, for example, you’ll daydreaming a lot more than you’re used to and procrastination may take over your life if you don’t control it. This is a good time to make art though.

Pluto: this planet spends many years in one house and sign. Transformation is the key word for this transit. Where transit Pluto is placed, things (think about habits, cycles, etc) end in order to start new ones. Also, it can symbolize that your current habits will be transform permanently. Negative feelings may be regular in certain times. Things from the past may do a come back. For example, if Pluto is transiting your 7th house, several of your relationships and friendships may transform in something new, bad or good. Plus, some of your relationships may end and that will mean a new cycle, a “new” you. This is a good time to reevaluate your relationships and throw away the negative ones in your life.

anonymous asked:

What do you think of Venus conjunct pluto in the 5th house?

@blackpanthersdick has this lol. Anyways these influences are very similar : Artistic talents are usually present. Extremely emotional and sexually charged relationships. Overly indulgent sexually. The partner will usually have a strong Scorpio/Pluto emphasis in their chart or in ur synastry.

dkcarat13  asked:

What do you think about Venus square pluto? Thanks in advance 😘

If u asked me the first time u don’t have to ask again…

Venus Square Pluto:

This aspect can bring overwhelmingly intense sexual relationships sometimes to the point where it’s unhealthy. There can be secret lovers and relationships will usually have a fated feeling to them as well. You or a partner can be controlling and demanding in love and relationships can feel all consuming. There can be a strong desire for material wealth/security almost to the point where you can take desperate actions to achieve it if underdeveloped. Strong artistic inspiration and possible talent. Magic for personal gain.

Who Do I Attract?

So, I have a lot of these asks in my inbox right now, and it’s not really an ask meme, it’s an entire area of astrology! I figured it’d be easiest to just make a post on what areas and ways you may attract certain signs or placements.

The placements here are likely to draw in people of certain signs or planetary dominants. Usually, it will attract the Suns, Risings and dominants of these signs.

Below, in no particular order, are areas of your chart that may attract certain people or placements.

Your Moon Element will attract the same element and it’s pairing one. For example, a fire moon will attract fire and air moons. This is because your inner workings and feelings are understood by each other more so than typically incompatible elements, like water and air.

Your Rising Element will also attract the same element and it’s pairing one, but it may attract the Rising or Sun sign. For example, an earth rising will attract earth suns and/or risings. This is because your flow and ego is attractive to those who think and appear like you too, rather than those who are more reserved or wild than yourself.

Your Rising Sign is likely to attract, and in turn be drawn to, it’s sister sign. This can be in Sun, Rising or Dominance. This is because your ascendant is the opposite of your descendant, and this is the type of person we look for and admire. For example, Virgo Risings have Pisces Descendants, so are attracted/attractive to Pisces Suns, Risings and/or Dominance as the two act as a whole.

Stelliums which you may have will attract people of a certain sign. If you have a Stellium in a sign, such as Aries, you will attract Aries. This could be Aries Sun, Rising or Dominant. It may also attract Mars, Fire or 1st house dominance. If you have a Stellium in a house, such as the 3rd house, you will attract Gemini. This could be Gemini Sun, Rising or Dominant. It may also attract Mercury, Air or 3rd house dominance. A list of possible sign and house stelliums and the placements they may attract is below. The people you attract may not be mathematically dominant in these ways, but they may be prominent in their chart, like in their Moon or Mars placements.

  • Aries/1st House Stellium: Aries, Mars, Sun, 1st House, Fire dominance
  • Taurus/2nd House Stellium: Taurus, Venus, Moon, 2nd House, Earth dominance
  • Gemini/3rd House Stellium: Gemini, Mercury, 3rd House, Air dominance
  • Cancer/4th House Stellium: Cancer, Moon, Jupiter, 4th House, Water dominance
  • Leo/5th House Stellium: Leo, Sun, 5th House, Fire dominance
  • Virgo/6th House Stellium: Virgo, Mercury, 6th House, Earth dominance
  • Libra/7th House Stellium: Libra, Venus, 7th House, Air dominance
  • Scorpio/8th House Stellium: Scorpio, Mars, Pluto, 8th House, Water dominance
  • Sagittarius/9th House Stellium: Sagittarius, Jupiter, 9th House, Fire dominance
  • Capricorn/10th House Stellium: Capricorn, Saturn, Mars, 10th House, Earth dominance
  • Aquarius/11th House Stellium: Aquarius, Uranus, Saturn, 11th House, Air dominance
  • Pisces/12th House Stellium: Neptune, Jupiter, Venus, Pisces, 12th House, Water dominance

Your Dominant Sign will also attract certain signs. For example, if you are Aquarius dominant, it is likely you attract air or fire Sun and Risings, as well as fellow air/fire dominants.

Your Dominant Planet will also attract certain signs as it is the energy dominant within you. A list is given below. The sign in capitals is the sign ruled by this planet, so it is the most likely to be drawn to you. The one in normal case is where this planet exalts, so whilst they are drawn to you, it is not as much as the first.

  • Sun dominant: LEO, Aries
  • Moon dominant: CANCER, Taurus
  • Mercury dominant: GEMINI, VIRGO
  • Venus dominant: TAURUS, LIBRA, Pisces
  • Mars dominant: ARIES, SCORPIO, Capricorn
  • Jupiter dominant: SAGITTARIUS, PISCES, Cancer
  • Saturn dominant: CAPRICORN, AQUARIUS, Libra
  • Uranus dominant: AQUARIUS, Scorpio
  • Neptune dominant: PISCES, Leo, Cancer (People debate whether Neptune exalts in Leo or Cancer - to keep peace I have written both)
  • Pluto dominant: SCORPIO, Pisces, Aries (People debate whether Pluto exalts in Pisces or Aries - to keep peace I have written both)

For example, someone with Jupiter dominant is likely to attract Sagittarius dominants. Or, equally, someone with Sagittarius dominant is likely to attract Jupiter dominants.

There are even more areas you could personally look, but referring to this list can give you a good idea. For example, if you have Scorpio Venus and Mars, you can tell from this you’re likely to attract Pluto dominants, Taurus Risings, and/or people with 8th house stelliums.

Your Midheaven can also work here for the first attraction! For example, I was instantly attracted to my boyfriend when I first saw him as he was a mystery to me, and as it turns out his Midheaven is the sister of mine. The basic rule for this first sight attraction would be like this:

  • Opposite signs: Mysterious, wanting to know more, seemingly the same yet different to you
  • Element match: Similar, you feel they are like you in some way
  • Compatible elements: You seem to appreciate them for who they appear to be, but know you are not one in the same
  • Midheaven ruled by same planet: You seem so different, but there is a similar energy within you
  • You can obviously attract and be attracted to any Midheaven, but these matches would stand out for the purposes of this post
Pluto is a dwarf planet, and thats okay

I love Pluto as much as anyone, and its *okay* that she’s a dwarf planet. Pluto has other cute friends out in her part of the woods

She just isn’t in the same plane of orbit as the other planets. Look at that orbit, its cray:

We can accept Pluto as she is, we don’t need to push her into a mold.  Insisting that Pluto is a planet isn’t accepting her as her true self.  She is a small, wild, free little dwarf planet and I love her
