Dressed up in some telltale ‘90s pastels, a very young Kate Moss plants herself next to a massive pink Cadillac – a statement car if ever there was one (Elvis drove a similar model). If you’ve ever had a hankering for a cotton-candy ride, today is your lucky day. There is a 1956 Cadillac DeVille available right now on eBay at a seemingly reasonable price. Click here to see it.
“Who could forget the famous pink Cadillac that Elvis gave his mother—arguably the most famous car in America. But it was actually the second pink Cadillac that Elvis owned. His first, purchased in 1955, went up in smoke when a brake lining caught fire after just a few months. He then bought the Cadillac Fleetwood Series 60, but it was blue with a black roof. Elvis’s neighbor created a special pink color, Elvis Rose, and repainted the Cadillac. This was the car Elvis then gave to his mother Gladys, even though she never had a driver’s license.”
New piece for show “Salon de Force” w/ Trash Rainbow - officially “Parade (Ghost Photograph no. 323)” but I like to call it “The Mouse waves.” In full size and some details…. (I love the details of shots with so many figures in there. Each in their own moment yet together.)
