❝Jae sighs, drops his head to rest against the upper shelf in utter defeat. He’s so goddamn sick of robberies. He’ll take a car chase over another one any other day. Hell, rescuing kittens from trees or helping old ladies cross the street would be better than this.❞
Lately I’ve gotten a little confused about who Wonder Woman is because somewhere along the line she transformed into a hollow stereotype of a “butt-kicking superheroine” who mostly brandishes her sword and expresses sentiments like “Let’s fight because it makes me feel good! I don’t understand relationships! I’m a warrior!” Sigh (thankfully I read a lot of old comics too so my exposure to this is kind of tempered).
BUT the tipping point was when I read Batman/Superman Annual #1 last night. In one panel, Diana points her sword at Supergirl and goes, “You, girl.” Here, look -
UGH. I hate that I don’t like something that Greg Pak wrote because he’s one of my favorites, but: …what? Everyone except for Brian Azzarello of late (!) is writing Diana like this. Why is this what Wonder Woman has become? Does her femininity - essential to her original character - make her so weak that getting rid of it is necessary? LOL YES because as far as patriarchy is concerned feminine traits like being empathetic and nurturing are not valuable duh.
This kind of stuff depresses me (and I didn’t expect to find it in B/S Annual), but, like I said, luckily I’m addicted to the Golden Age stuff so I came across another set of panels last night too -
Loving and strong - that’s Wonder Woman! It’s *so* remarkable that she ever came to be and it’s a bummer that she was more radical in the 1940s than she is in the 2010s. I can only dread what they’re going to do next with her character.
And with that… Happy International Women’s Day, y’all. My feminism doesn’t center on Wonder Woman but she’s an important part of my story and she’s important to a lot of my sisters in solidarity as well!

Spiderman!AU featuring Jae as Peter Parker and Wonpil as the stubborn civilian who just keeps getting into trouble.
Why you may ask? Because I juts got home from watching Spiderman Homecoming that’s why.
The first time Jae saves Kim Wonpil, he does it by crashing headfirst into the boy. Quite literally.
He’s perched on the corner edge of a building, high enough to feel comfortable taking his mask off and letting it pool around his neck. The world looks pocket-sized at his feet, like Jae could reach out and take it in his hands if he wanted to. He watches the bustling streets down below, swinging his legs around and fiddling with the web-shooters wrapped tight around his wrists. They’re almost running empty. Jae frowns at them, wondering if he has enough money to buy the chemicals he needs to make more of the stuff.
I just want to say none of these gifs are mine and I’m not taking credit for them in any way, I’m just hoping to get to help introduce some of you new fans to the fandom WELCOME TO THE SUNDAYS FAMILY BTW :D So I’m just gonna keep it short (I did two gifs each for the members)
In order from top to bottom:
Wonpil/Peter (nickname): second youngest, bashful (not as much bow), very affectionate, adorable cute bean, plays the synthesizer and occasionally the piano
Young K/Brian: very sweet loves his fans a lot, seems like he’d be intimidating but isn’t at all, speaks English and korean, plays the bass, shy at times
Jae: a huge dork, known for his insane hashtags, called swegchicken and chicken little by most fans, loves speaking in English, but still speaks a lot of Korean, loves boiled crab 😂 (plays the electric guitar Mery whom is also his gf, he’s taken ladies Hahaha kidding kidding)
Sungjin: Leader, super talkative and makes sure to include everyone, one of the best leaders honestly, talks with his hands a lot, likes to pretend he can dance even when he knows he can’t hahahahah (he plays the acoustic guitar btw)
Dowoon: maknae, so shy and adorable, his ears turn red when it’s his turn to talk, very expressive with his face, has a deep as deep as the sea, spectacular at the drums
