Louis C.K. Drops A New Show Unannounced: ‘Horace and Pete’ Review

Without any prior announcement, Louis C.K. posted the first episode of a new show, Horace and Pete, on his website on Saturday. The dramatic comedy, clocking in at a little over an hour, is set in an old bar, Horace and Pete’s. C.K. plays Horace; Steve Buscemi is Pete. The dingy bar is packed with stars playing low-down, screwed-up, and screwed-over people, including Jessica Lange, Alan Alda, SNL’s Aidy Bryant, Edie Falco, and Steven Wright.

To me this thing we have all built, you - us - the bands in some kind of deranged Charlie and the chocolate factory where we can just be noisey and strange and we all fit in because we don’t fit in at all…..Your weirdness is your own golden ticket

Pete Wentz on Instagram

See what happened was…..

Ya’ll had #peterthomas pegged for. #RHOA aka a #georgiapeach . Ya’ll had those #memes going around like #peterthomas was bitcha*a😂.

#Brandonlink strolled up in #SportsOne trying to get out of pocket with #peterthomas.

#peterthomas told him please don’t let the show fool you. I will slide yo ass right up out here.

#Brandon got courage cause he saw the memes and as u see below he went sliding and bumped his head. Now #peter got #simpleassult charges.

That sound good right? The real story according to #TMZ is:Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Peter Thomas got a visit from cops in Charlotte after a guest in his bar claimed Pete tossed him like a rag doll and busted his head.

A guy named Brandon Link claims he was talking to Peter about renting space in Sports One Charlotte – which Peter and his ‘RHOA’ wife Cynthia Bailey own. Link says during negotiations early Sunday morning, Peter yelled … “You think I give a f**k about your money!” – and then threw him across the room.

Link claims he hit his head on the corner of a table. He immediately called police.

Peter remembers things differently – he tells us Link was aggressively drunk, and had to be escorted from the bar by security. Peter says once Link was outside, he slipped on ice and hit his head.

Link says he suffered a concussion, but responding officers saw no reason to make any arrests at the bar.

Moral of story:Don’t be like #Brandonlink cause he’s going to try to sue now. He won’t get a dime.

Paul Simon penned the theme song for Louis C.K.’s new web series Horace and Pete

This weekend comedian Louis C.K. surprised fans by releasing the first episode of his new web series Horace and Pete. In the show, Louis and Steve Buscemi own an Irish dive bar called — you guessed it — Horace And Pete’s. The bar’s patrons including Alan Alda, Edie Falco, and Jessica Lange.

As Stereogum points out, the show’s theme song was penned by Paul Simon. The sparse acoustic number is what you’d expect from a Paul Simon song based on a bar, featuring lyrics like, “Hell no/ I can’t complain about my problems/ I’m OK the way things are/ I pull my stool up to the bar/ At Horace And Pete’s/ Sometimes I wonder/ Why do we tear ourselves to pieces?/ I just need some time to think/ Or maybe I just need a drink/ At Horace And Pete’s.”

Check out a snippet of the song below, and grab a download of the full episode via Louis C.K.’s website.
