Passageway

Dust

they attack me
constantly

work, in between phone calls,
sleep, in between dreams

I feel then crawling from
inside the hallways

of my mind

red, puffy eyes as they crawl
through ducts

sliding and scratching down
nasal passageways

I’m almost to the edge
of spotless days

the dust left by your bones
in the empty space

beside my heart,
inside my mind,
is with me all the time

why don’t we start
in the bedroom

to see if the symptoms
subside

maybe instead of saying “empty houses” we can refer to them as “open houses”

There is something about the word empty that suggests an absence, hollowness, blockage, whereas there is something about the word open that indicates opportunity, access, and passageway

Open houses are not empty because they all have a sign on the house cusp. Through that sign on the cusp you find the house’s planetary ruler, such as Leo on the 4th house cusp. Leo is ruled by the sun, and so this means the ruler of the 4th house is the sun.

You would then find the sun in the chart, lets say it is in the 9th. “Ruler of the 4th house is in the 9th house,” the home life and upbringing (4th) may have directly affected the beliefs & philosophies this person identifies with, maybe this person feels “at home” when they travel and experience (9th).

It doesn’t end here, there are also aspects to this sun, which then would point to other planets in other houses, bringing it all together to form more interpretations and insight.

It is synthesization. Synthesis is the ‘opportunity/access/passageway’ in this sense, that everything is connected & works together; one thing in the chart points to another thing, which points to another thing, and so on. The natal chart is a circle; the symbolism of a circle has many meanings, but can be seen in this scenario as wholeness & completion and infinity, an endless amount of possibilities.

Nothing is ‘empty’ in the natal chart

Learning the word 'Sonder' and thinking about it's meaning once a day can help you become a more giving, thoughtful person.

SONDER: The realization that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own—populated with their own ambitions, friends, routines, worries and inherited craziness—an epic story that continues invisibly around you like an anthill sprawling deep underground, with elaborate passageways to thousands of other lives that you’ll never know existed, in which you might appear only once, as an extra sipping coffee in the background, as a blur of traffic passing on the highway, as a lighted window at dusk.

asoue character aesthetics: esmé squalor

“i wouldn’t say you were O.K.” esmé’s voice called down to them from the top of the passageway. her voice echoed off the walls of the passageway, but the children could still hear every cruel word. “you’re alive, but you’re definitely not O.K. as soon as the auction is over and the quagmires are on their way out of the city, gunther will come and get you, and i can guarantee that you three orphans will never be O.K. again. what a wonderful and profitable day! my former acting teacher will finally get his hands on not one but two enormous fortunes!”
