Amazingly, there were no casualties aboard O’Bannon. Well, she was called “Lucky O” for something…… she was sort of the American counterpart of Yukikaze, if you know what I mean.

In fact, not a single Purple Heart was awarded to the crew of O’Bannon throughout the entire war.
