Order-of-tales

Here it is, the big fancy T-O-E drawing. Always fun and kind of weird to return to a character like this; I feel like this is the closest I’ve ever got to the picture in my head of an immortal, indifferent magic robot covered in trinkets from different cultures and centuries.

Getting some prints of this for Spring conventions (Staple, ECCC, TCAF, MoCCA, Linework [wow is it really that many]), at the very least. I liked having one big new print for shows last year, so maybe that’s a tentative plan for the future…

(the one electronic is a character in some of my comics if you are unaware)

“I have never had great expectations of my performance or of a film. I try not to think about the outcome. If you look that far ahead, it sort of taints your choices as an actor. I try as hard as I can to believe that no one is ever going to see it and that it’s not even a movie. Then you can allow yourself to bare more.”

I put up an enormous art book on Gumroad. About 100 pages; practically every piece of Overside-related promotional art and illustration I’ve made over the past eight years. EIGHT YEARS! There is also a pretty lengthy section of commentary on every piece in the book, from the perspective of bitter, wizened 2014 Evan.

It was strange and weirdly emotional pulling this stuff out of the last three computers I’ve used. Overside and what I’ve been trying to get out of it haven’t been extremely internally consistent, but I don’t think many people get to have such a clear throughline for so many years through practically everything they do creatively. Not done yet, either.

It would be lovely if you’d help me spread the word on this thing, and let me know what you think of it if you decide to get it! Thank you!

Just a small collection of my favorite moments from Evan Dahm’s work, Rice Boy, Order of Tales, and Vattu.

I don’t know any other artist that gives me chills over dialogue like Evan Dahm does. He is absolutely prolific and talented at creating worlds that seem larger than the story itself. I love it. Whenever I feel uninspired, I just go back to his work.

One day… I will own the hardcover print of Order of Tales to match my Rice Boy book. And then own the full Vattu set once that comes along too. One day man, one day.

While we’re on Stone Palm, here’s some later iterations: a print I made in 2009 of Gerund and Infin, and a page from Order of Tales that represented an effort to kind of redesign it to fit that comic’s aesthetic.

continually crazy to re-remember how much Overside stuff I’ve made……..

For the latest episode of Beyond the Longbox, we visited Evan Dahm  (http://rice-boy.com/), creator of Rice Boy and Vattu, to see what goes into building worlds and starting journeys.

Music for this episode by Giannis Milonogiannis (http://www.milonogiannis.com/).

We previously reviewed Evan’s work in our Top Picks of 2014 video.

Tales of Zestiria - Skit Index

Skits in Zestiria are of vital importance in understanding the characters and the plot, yet many of them are missable… Sadly the English guides do not include a guide for skits. So here you go!!

This is a list of all skits in Zestiria and where to get them! There may be some mild spoilers in there but I have tried to keep those to a minimum. You do have the option to fork out 50000 gald for EACH missed skit later in the game btw but if you are a cheapskate perfectionist like me then ahahaha 8D

Many thanks to yume-x-hanabi for letting me use your Inn Skits Guide as reference, and Rita-san for your wonderful support ~!

Comments are very welcome since I suck at formatting… Do ask away!

WARNING, POTENTIAL SPOILERS. (Just in case anyone cares.)

Aaaaand, here are the New Order of Lorelei outfits (or in Van’s and Asch’s case, their other designs).

And Largo, why must your giant weapon get in my way of making a good reference sheet for you…AGAIN?!

Also, there couldn’t possibly be a reason behind the order I put them in, could there? (This goes for BOTH sheets, not just this one).
