its that time of the year…. yes, its time for Bangladesh in Frames (BIF) exhibit once again… and its the fifth in a row…. BIF-5 had seen a lot of tough moments and there had been times when we all were pretty worried about the progress of the event…. but its really heart-warming to see the exhibit finally open….
as usual, the opening day of the exhibit, being on a holiday, attracted a big crowd at Drik Gallery…. just like the previous years, Through the Lens: Bangladesh (TTL) made this big…. a hundred photographs from a hundred photographers filled the big wall of the gallery…. its always a sight to see the prints hanging on the walls… for the photographers participating for the first time, its more than just another event… its a recognition….
the exhibit gives the opportunity to photographers to gather at a common place to share ideas…. its a get-together like no other…. such a gathering helps the overall development of the photographers’ community…. on the first day at the exhibit, we met people from all over the place and had plenty of discussion on and off photography…. do drop in if you’re close to Dhanmondi, Dhaka…. the exhibit lasts up to 23th of April 2013, but its the holidays when you meet up with the most number of people….
