Okay wow so imagine my Neal & Hook post but Milah is Captain Hook.

Rumple kills the man Milah left him for, to punish her for her LIES and to make her suffer. Milah trying to kill Rumple to avenge Killian. Milah using Belle to get to Rumple. (Still awful but it makes sense. But Milah not hitting or trying to kill her when she refuses to help.) Milah & the evil queen. Milah & Cora teaming up to get to Storybrooke. Milah being slightly ashamed bc Cora is a terrible mother, much like Milah herself.

Milah and Bae in Neverland. Bae hating her for her leaving. Milah NOT turning Bae over to Pan, maybe Bae turning to the island to escape her even tho crazy Pan is there. Milah trying to find & save him. Milah & Tink team
up. Tink who was friendly with Bae! IMAGINE THE FLASHBACKS.

Milah believing her son died and she was never able to make amends. Milah staying back trying to help save Henry. Milah & Rumple having to work together. Milah not going after Emma bc she is her son’s ex. Milah not looking for physical gratification for temporarily saving Emma’s father. Milah & Regina butting heads. (Idk did Milah help kidnap Regina??) Milah & Rumple both trying to prove themselves to Neal. MILAH AND RUMPLE TRUCE WITH SO MUCH SASS BC THEY STILL HATE EACH OTHER. But Nealfire is so much more important.

Milah standing by when Rumple sacrifices himself to stop his father and save their son. MILAH HELPING NEAL AND BELLE GET RUMPLE BACK. (Weird Milah/Belle bonding.) MILAH STOPPING NEAL SACRIFICING HIMSELF AND DOING IT HERSELF. MILAH AND RUMPLE IN ONE BODY!!!!! Milah & Zelena 👀

But I would want them to find a way to save both Milah & Rumple so Neal can have his family.

MILAH and Rumple with Neal as he watches Emma become the Dark One to save Regina. Neal remembering why Rumple became Dark One. Neal + Regina teamwork & tag team Emma support, with Snow & Charming of course. Neal panicking about what will happen to Emma. EMMA NOT BEING ABLE TO WATCH NEAL DIE AGAIN. EMMA MAKING NEAL DARK TWO. NEAL GETTING ADDICTED TO POWER TRYING TO MAKE EMMA AND HENRY HAPPY AND SAFE.

Neal, Emma and Regina co parenting. Regina freaking out about Henry’s girlfriend, Neal giving him advice, Emma telling him not to listen to either of them. Snow & Charming having no idea who Emma should be with. Snow leaning toward Neal, Charming toward Regina. Rumple is totally stuck bc NEAL but complicated Regina. Milah thinking they make such great friends & family, why ruin it? Emma, Neal & Regina being SO CONFUSED. Everyone all weirdly protective of each other and so much teasing banter. EVERYONE SPILLING SECRETS ABOUT EACH OTHER. Milah & Snow developing a close friendship neither expected. Charming & Rumple pick up their bromance. Emma, Neal and Regina are all concerned. Henry thinks it’s the best ever. Belle being EVERYONE’S FRIEND. Especially Neal & Milah & Regina - which surprises EVERYONE (Milah & Regina most of all bc they were soso terrible to her). Milah & Rumple having intense arguments then not speaking to each other for two weeks, but after that they’re back to “normal” sass & banter and their frenemy status.

Just omgomgomg I really want this 😭

hiya. this is going to sound random but i'd really like to thank you for all your swanfire fix it fics. with the c$pocalypse happening tonight it's reassuring to know how much the sf fandom has each other's backs. i'll be so relieved when this shitstorm is finally over...

Aww thank you so much! This really means a lot to me.

I love the Swanfire fandom for how kind it is and how we can always encourage each other. I am ready for tonight to be over, so Emma can finally just be all ours. Whether that be for those that ship Swanfire, Swan Queen, Gremma, whatever.

Headcanon: When Emma took on the darkness, it took her to a parallel universe where Neal never died. She’s close with her parents, she’s with Neal and they co-parent Henry with Regina. C$ was never a thing.

Watch on

On this day in music history: July 31, 1981 - “Escape” (aka E5C4P3), the seventh album by Journey is released. Produced by Mike Stone and Kevin Elson , it is recorded at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley, CA from April - June 1981. Starting off the 80’s with the successful “Departure”, Journey follows it with the live album “Captured”. In between, they also record “Dream, After Dream”, the soundtrack for the Japanese film “Yume, Yume No Ato”. Shortly afterward, founding member Gregg Rolie leaves to pursue a solo career. Rolie recommends former Babys keyboardist Jonathan Cain as his replacement. Besides his excellent musicianship, Cain proves to be a highly valuable asset to the band for his songwriting abilities, especially in tandem with lead singer Steve Perry and guitarist Neal Schon. Co-writing all ten of the songs on the album, Cain establishes himself as another element in Journey’s success. Sporting instantly memorable songs, it quickly becomes their most successful studio album. Though some critics react unfavorably, accusing the band of selling out their progressive rock roots, the public and radio could care less, enthusiastically embracing the album. It spins off a total of five singles including “Who’s Crying Now” (#4 Pop), “Open Arms” (#2 Pop) and “Still They Ride” (#19 Pop). The second single “Don’t Stop Believin’” (#9 Pop), is released in October of 1981 as the follow up to “Who’s Crying Now”. Though successful at the time, it’s overshadowed by the two singles released before (“Crying”) and after (“Open Arms”), which are bigger chart and airplay hits. However, “Don’t Stop Believin’” builds in popularity, becoming a highlight of Journey’s live concerts. It becomes a staple on rock radio over the next two decades, and a huge karaoke favorite. Its greatest success comes in 2007 when featured in the final episode of the “The Sopranos”. Following the initial broadcast seen by nearly twelve million people, “Believin’” immediately surges to the top of the Apple iTunes digital download chart. To date it has sold over 6.5 million digital downloads, making it one of the largest selling digital singles released in the pre-digital era. It also becomes an anthem at sporting events, being adapted as a rallying cry by fans of the San Francisco Giants during their World Series victories. The success of “Escape” inspires the video game “Journey Escape”, created by California based video game company Data Age for the Atari 2600 game console in 1982. The albums now iconic cover artwork of their trademark scarab crashing out of a glass orb, is painted by famed Bay Area based artist Stanley Mouse. One of the first titles released on CD by CBS Records in 1982, it is remastered and reissued in 2006 with four additional bonus tracks. It is also reissued as a 180 gram vinyl LP by Friday Music in 2010. “Escape” spends one week at number one on the Billboard Top 200, and is certified 9x Platinum in the US by the RIAA.

Ten (Plus Five) Reasons to Read Once Upon A Different Time

As I’ve said many times before, Once Upon A Different Time is my rewrite of OUAT from 3A through to 6B (eventually… it’ll take me about ten years…)

I’m hoping to get some more readership for 3B, which starts posting July 1st, so I’ve put together some shameless self-promotion and a few reasons to hopefully whet your appetites…

@takingbackouat and @woodelf68, tagging you because you’ve been so helpful with getting OUADT established.

Without further ado, let’s get going! These first ten are fairly spoiler-free!

One: Lights, Camera, Action!
Each chapter of OUADT reads, I hope, like an actual episode of Once Upon A Time does, with a main narrative balancing different characters, along with flashbacks to the characters’ pasts, and screentime shared between realms when the main cast is split between different places as in Season 3A.

Two: So much more than this provincial life…
Belle fans, look no further. OUADT 3A gives Belle a storyline of her own that is unrelated to her relationship with Rumpelstiltskin or her knowledge of the Dewey system as she investigates strange goings on in the town in the rest of the characters’ absence, and gives her some more friendships outside of Henry’s extended family. It’s a multi-episode arc, not just a one-off ‘Disney Princess of the Week’s sidekick’ tale.

Three: Dead is dead… ish…
Ok, it wouldn’t be Once Upon A Time without some people getting resurrected after ostensibly losing their lives, but I’m trying to keep that to a minimum in OUADT, and I categorically promise that every resurrection is fully explained – we have an entire flashback devoted to how Philip returned to the land of the living, something that’s never been seen on the show!

Four: Speaking of Philip… And Aurora… And Mulan…
Two words: Royal Warriors. Mulan’s feelings towards Aurora are fully explored, as are Aurora’s towards Mulan, leading into a healthy polyamorous relationship between the three of them.

Five: Once Upon A Sass
Remember that dynamic between Gold and Emma from the first couple of seasons? Remember the sass and the snark and the playful antagonism? Well, in OUADT, you get at least four episodes of it as Emma and Rumpelstiltskin are forced to work together, and Emma meets full-on Imp!Rumpel…

Read on for more, or this post will be too long!

Life on the Set

The Enchanted Kingdom was a popular fantasy drama on television. Though it was an ensemble cast, its three main stars were Neal Cassidy, Emma Swan and Killian Jones. It was based on medieval times and loosely based on Arthurian legend. Neal Cassidy played King Baelfire, the beloved king of the Enchanted Kingdom. Emma Swan played the lovely Queen Emma, and Killian Jones played the dastardly pirate, Captain Hook, who had seduced the fair queen into an illicit love affair.

The shows primary fanbase shipped PirateQueen and most fans wanted Killian and Emma to hook up in real life. To promote the show, it was often required for Emma and Killian to play up the ship and be flirty. This only fueled the fire with the fans. It also caused tension off screen.

Off screen, Emma and Killian were only good friends. Emma was secretly dating her co-star Neal Cassidy and had been for two years. Neal was a patient and understanding man and so far, he’d been fairly tolerant of everything. But, it was really starting to grate on him that he and Emma couldn’t even publicly appear at events together, because she had to be by Killian’s side for promotions.

Sometimes, with how friendly they looked, he had to wonder if life imitated art. That morning, Neal had an early call time and he’d come in to film his scenes. They had finished fairly quickly and then it was time for the next scene. As he thumbed through the script, he realized the next scene was a love scene between Emma and Hook. The queen had just lied to Baelfire previously and was sneaking off to see her lover.

Neal watched as they prepped the scene, and for awhile, he stayed if only to keep up appearances. But, after a few minutes, he could no longer stand it and he slipped out of the studio, heading for his trailer.
