The Nara Hotel, standing at the top of a high area in Nara Park was built in 1909. It is easy to say that this is the most high-class hotel in Nara. This hotel provides the very best hospitality, and has served the most distinguished guests from the imperial family of Japan to Audrey Hepburn, Marlon Brando, and Albert Einstein.
The wooden two-story main building of the Nara Hotel was created by Kingo Tatsuno, the architect known for designing Tokyo Station. Every one of its spaces, from Its dignified tiled roof, atrium entrance, and deep red carpeting on the main staircase feature a gorgeous design. Both Japanese and Western style guest rooms are available, with the classical ambience of the Western-style rooms in the Main Building especially recommended. It still retains the original mantelpiece from when it was built for a space truly imbued with refinement and history. (x)
