Since he left the house of Mugler and became Art Director at Diesel, talented designer/mogul/WeTheUrban cover star Nicola Formichetti has been preparing cool ideas and new projects for everyone’s favorite denim brand.
Some time ago, we saw the first creative project titled #dieselreboot creatively done through Tumblr and today we can get a taste of his new (and very limited) Diesel Tribute collection campaign, shot entirely with an iPhone.
“We were inspired by the biker gangs that developed in the United States after World War II. The bikers would personalize their jackets with tokens of their travels and memorabilia to remind them of home. Beyoncé’s jacket proudly displays her home state of TEXAS on the back as a reminder of her roots. There are hints of blue paint hidden on the jacket as an ode to her daughter Blue Ivy. We loved the idea that no matter where Beyoncé travels to she will always have a piece of home.”
