20 July ‘16 // Another repost from my booklr (now inactive ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ).
Highly rec Agatha Christie - my preference is Poirot!! - her books are short(ish) and immensely satisfying to read (I’ve always found them really good choices when i’m in a book slump! + there are so many?! of ? them!!)
Today Prussia stayed at home and didn’t do much of anything. For the first part of the day he vaccines and mopped. Then he thought that he should finally read that Murder on the Orient Express book England recommended to him. He read throughout the day, wondering who the criminal could be. He kept making up theories on what could happen. He finally finished the book by the end of the day and was shocked at who actually committed the crime. He didn’t really know what to do with himself after reading it, so he just read it again.
Hi Kristin! It can definitely be hard to stay connected to booklr sometimes - what have you been reading lately? And do you have any good crime/thriller/mystery or fantasy book recs? Thanks!
Hi there! I just finished three books so I’m at that point where I have to pick up a new one. I read Nimona, The Hidden Oracle: Trials of Apollo, and Why Not Me by Mindy Kaling. I would definitely recommend Nimona. It’s a fantasy graphic novel and it’s fantastic. A Study in Charlotte is up next on my TBR list. I don’t read much in the crime/thriller genres but I have been trying to read more mystery lately. I love Agatha Christie’s novels. She can really weave a story and I’ve never guessed the entire ending. There’s always some detail that I miss. Murder on the Orient Express, The ABC Murders, and And Then There Were None are my favorites. Thanks for the ask!
If anyone here has tried playing the Agatha Christie games to pass the time before MID. I remember playing Murder On The Orient Express and really liking it. It’s not quite the same style of gameplay as Nancy Drew, but it’s very fun!
