Muhammed (PBUH)

Amazing advice from Ibn Al-Qayyim

“A friend will not (literally) share your struggles, and a loved one cannot physically take away your pain, and a close one will not stay up the night on your behalf. So look after yourself, protect it, nurture it. Don’t give life’s events more than what they are really worth.

Be certain that when you break, no one will heal you except you; and when you are defeated, no one will give you victory except your own determination. Your ability to stand up again and carry on is your responsibility.

Do not look for your self-worth in the eyes of people; look for your worth from within your conscious. If your conscious is at peace then you will ascend high, and if you truly know yourself then what is said about you won’t harm you.

Do not carry the worries of this life, because this is for Allah. And do not carry the worries of sustenance because it is from Allah. And do not carry the anxiety for the future because it is in the Hands of Allah.

Carry one thing:

How to Please Allah. Because if you please Him, He Pleases you, fulfils you and enriches you. Do not weep from a life that made your heart weep, just say “Oh Allah compensate me with good in this life and the hereafter”.

Sadness departs with a sajdah. Happiness comes with a sincere du'a. Allah does not forget the good you do, nor does He forget the good you did to others and the pain you relieved them from. Nor will He forget the eye which was about to cry but you made it laugh.

Live your life with this principle: Be good even if you don’t receive good, not because of other’s sake but because Allah loves the good doers".

Narrated Abu Mas`ud Al-Ansari: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, ”If one recites the last two Verses of Surat-al-Baqara at night, it is sufficient for him (for that night).” Sahih al-Bukhari 5040

“He who marries a woman solely for her beauty will not find anything he likes in her, he who marries her for her wealth will be deprived of it as soon as he marries her, so look to marry women of faith.”

- Prophet Muhammad (saaw.)

Abu Ayyub Ansari reported that Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) said: If you were not to commit sins, Allah would have swept you out of existence and would have replaced you by another people who have committed sin, and then asked forgiveness from Allah, and He would have granted them pardon.
—  Sahih Muslim, Book 50, Hadith 12
There is no place for racism in Islam.

“They asked me what about the Hajj had impressed me the most. I said, the brotherhood! The people from all races, colours, from all over the world, coming together as one! It has proved to me the power of the One God. All ate as one, and slept as one. Everything about the pilgrimage atmosphere accented the oneness of man under One God.”

Narrated Abu Huraira: I heard Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) saying.“ By Allah! I ask for forgiveness from Allah and turn to Him in repentance more than seventy times a day." Sahih al-Bukhari 6307

‘Aishah (May Allah be pleased with her) reported:

I asked: “O Messenger of Allah! If I realize Lailat-ul-Qadr (Night of Decree), what should I supplicate in it?” He (ﷺ) replied, “You should supplicate: Allahumma innaka 'afuwwun, tuhibbul-'afwa, fa'fu 'anni (O Allah, You are Most Forgiving, and You love forgiveness; so forgive me).”

Narrated Abu Huraira: I heard Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) saying “From among my followers, a group (of 70,000) will enter Paradise without being asked for their accounts, Their faces will be shining like the moon.” ‘Ukasha bin Muhsin Al-Asadi got up, lifting his covering sheet and said, “O Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) Invoke Allah for me that He may include me with them.” The Prophet (ﷺ) said! “O Allah! Make him from them.” Then another man from Al-Ansar got up and said, “O Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ)! Invoke Allah for me that He may include me with them.” On that Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, “'Ukasha has anticipated you." Sahih al-Bukhari 5811

Mountain of Mercy (Jabal-ur-Rahma) on the plain of Arafat. 🕊

• Arafah was the place were Adam and Hawa (May Allāh be pleased with them) met once again when they were sent down to reside on earth. They came down on two different spots but eventually were able to meet and recognize each other on this plain. Arafah here means “to get acquainted”, so based on this opinion Adam and Hawa got acquainted to each other on that very same land we call today Arafah.

• Here, our beloved Prophet Muhammad Pbuh gave his last sermons in the final year of his life.
