“The scene in Bolt where Mittens yells at Bolt about her family’s love not being real hit me incredibly hard. A few years before it came out my parents got divorced, and now my dad has a new family with new kids and my mother has dropped all contact with me. I had to leave the theater in tears because I know too well what it feels like to be left by the ones you love wondering what you did wrong.”
