CollegeFashionista: Where are you from, and where did you go to college?
Mindy Erazo: Born in Guatemala City, Guatemala. Raised in Colorado. Currently attending University of Colorado at Boulder.
CF: Does the aesthetic of your Tumblr match the aesthetic of your life?
ME: Definitely. It’s a reflection of my life and lifestyle. What I love and am interested in.
CF: How would you describe your style?
ME: I think the best part about fashion is being able to experiment with clothes and styles. I don’t think I can pin-point myself to just one. I love mixing things up, but I always keep it somewhat minimal and sophisticated leaning more towards classic looks with an edge.
CF: What is your favorite fashion memory?
ME: So far, it has to be when I attended Parsons School of Fashion Design in New York City this past summer. I learned so much about the industry itself and the city just exudes inspiration. It gave me a whole new perspective on fashion and really showed me that it is a serious industry, but it can be fun, full of creativity and it can be so rewarding as well.
CF: What inspired you to start your own Tumblr? Have you picked up any tricks along the way that you’ve found to be useful in Tumbling?
ME: I run Mindy Erazo, my main blog, but with school, I sometimes can be too busy to create a full post. Tumblr has been a great place for me to post everyday, because it doesn’t take a lot of time. I am able to give my followers some daily doses of inspiration throughout the day. Not going to lie, it’s also somewhat of an escape from schoolwork.
I love that you can track certain topics that you like. I am a major perfectionist and have a certain way I like my page to look so with the “tracking” I can put the exact style of images that I want without having to go through tons of websites to find them; it’s a great way to filter.
