Dear Google+ers: Thank you so much for helping us to near the 50 million mile stone. I’m sorry I haven’t posted much recently but I have just started filming NOW YOU SEE ME: THE SECOND ACT, which has already been a fantastic experience, working with an amazing cast and crew. I’d love to share some pictures but I’m pretty sure that’d get me in trouble with our producers. Suffice to say I’m excited for everyone to see the movie(in 2016!). Thanks again for your continued support! You’re the best (yes, all of you!) - Dan
Remember when you left Gotham? Before all this, before Batman? You were gone seven years. Seven years I waited, hoping that you wouldn’t come back. Every year, I took a holiday. I went to Florence, there’s this cafe, on the banks of the Arno. Every fine evening, I’d sit there and order a Fernet Branca. I had this fantasy, that I would look across the tables and I’d see you there, with a wife and maybe a couple of kids. You wouldn’t say anything to me, nor me to you. But we’d both know that you’d made it, that you were happy. I never wanted you to come back to Gotham. I always knew there was nothing here for you, except pain and tragedy. And I wanted something more for you than that. I still do.
↳ “And then I came here and I realized that these women are smart, terrific people who are just trying to make a difference in the world. And we’ve become really good friends. I mean, I know we all secretly hope the other one will trip and fall on her face, and - wait a minute, I’ve already done that! And for me this experience has been one of the most rewarding and liberating experiences of my life.”
CHARLOTTE RAMPLING, a member of the Academy, doesn’t think the exclusively White Oscar nominations of the past two years is racist. Instead, she thinks #OscarsSoWhite is Reverse Racism, and Black actors simply may not have been good enough to make the cut. Not to be outdone, Michael Caine says everyone who isn’t blindingly white should just “be patient.”
