Sumali kami ng kaibigan ko sa photowalk sa binondo, kala namin simpleng photowalk lang yun pala kasama namen eh mga pro na.
Nagmukha kaming saling ‘catcat’. HAHA.
HAHA.
4. Raku - Makati
More of, 'Hay NAKU!’ . After one hour atang paglalakad e natunton din namen.
In fairness, maganda yung lugar at masarap ang miso ramen. So okay na din. Everyone happy na. :)
5. Book for less (Makati pa din)
Tumambay para maghanap ng magandang libro.
Bumili na lang ng makakaen sa mercanti since hindi natuloy yung Make a Wish sky lantern event sa Banchetto. (BOOOOOO!)
7. Mcdo Ortigaz
Wala ng maupuan dun kaya pumunta na lang kami ng mcdo at dun kinaen yung binili namen. Napagtripan gamitin ang Kola Manual Filters (see sample below. HAHA) sa fisheye, digicam at cellphone cam.
(I don’t owned this image - kola - , credits to the rightful owner).
So yun, medyo nahirapan umuwi kaya ala-dos na nakarating ng bahay at kasalukuyang di pa natutulog. ^______^
Just slept until the afternoon, then watched some episodes til we attended the anticipated mass. Good thing I brought an extra pair of flats because my heels got into trouble just as I entered the church. HAHAHAHA. One of them got stuck in one of those tiny holes along the path walk. :))) After which, I was wondering why all of a sudden it started making noise while I was walking. It’s just that when we sat, I realized as I looked at the other pair, that the tip of the heel was missing. HAHAHA. What’s even crazy is that when we got out of the church, I saw the missing tip from where I was stuck earlier. :DDD
We had dinner at Metrowalk and went to Il Mercanti. YUUUUMMMMMMY FOOOOOOD! We just somehow regretted spending on the other restaurant than going straight to Il Mercanti to eat dinner. But nonetheless, t'was a great night! Had the chance to spend it with the whole family plus some of my cousins. :)
MOON LEAF’S WINTERMELON MILK TEA.
HAHA. I can’t remember if these were from CAKES BY K.
aaaand MOCHI POOCHI ice cream. <3
Tadah! I feel like having sore throat agaaaaaaain. :|
And there, I faced my ever dearest SP when we got home </3 Hahaha.
And for today, maybe I’ll just sleep up until the afternoon again. I guess I’ll be at home all day because my father’s leaving for Cebu later. So, acad mode again, I guess.
The errand for today was to accompany my friend, Cilla to UA&P to pass an application form. The process was rather quick than I expected so we decided to drop by at Metrowalk after UA&P. Below are some snaps I took during the entire day.
We had our breakfast at Jollibee and ordered 2 piece chicken joy with rice. It has been a while since I ate at Jollibee. I kind of missed it. (When I was still a kid, I was loyal to Jabee. :D )
I was not able to take a photo while we were inside UA&P’s campus, btw.
It was my first time in Metrowalk and the place looks deserted, but according to Cilla, more people go there at night. We had our lunch there and I also took home two new iphone cases which I’ll blog on my next post.
We ordered one ensaymada and one clubhouse sandwich because we’re on diet. HAHAHA.
Cilla is really spontaneous. I thought that after Metrowalk, we will finally go home but no, she invited me to their unit to go SWIMMING. Wow. How “biglaan” would this day can get. Could not resist the invite so I just went with the flow and drop by my house to get some things then went swimming with Cilla.
We hung out by the pool with sticks of “isaw” which we bought in Lagro. I went home by 9 pm, exhausted but happy at the same time for the day. Being not much of the outgoing type, I’m not used to these kind of “lakad” but still, I enjoy the day. Thanks so much Cici! :D <3

11.11.11 11 10:54pm at Icebergs, Metrowalk. We’re supposed to witness the sky lanterns at Banchetto but unfortunately, the management cancelled it for some reasons. Disappointed but there’s nothing we can do but to compromise and understand. “hassle, traffic, hunger, thirst, hot weather, and very crowded!” - if i would describe the special event. Failed to meet up with MC friends and cousins </////3 but it all paid off ‘cause I’m with Nori♥ (and mom and dad) =)) Buti pa si Nori, maraming nakita friends, ba’t ako wala? </3 okies. Di kami sweet dito. bakit nga ba? hahahahhahaha k. gusto ko ulit magpagabi kasama sya. :“> =)) kahit star gazing lang. Hi baby, kung nababasa mo to.. hahahhahahaha. gawa tayong sarili nating sky lanterns, please? hahaha kbye. Love you!♥ Blog blog blog..
As I was browsing the interwebz today I thought about one of my favorites childhood (teenhood?) food joints. Bun on the Run had the most exquisite choriburgers. As you can probably guess a chori burger is a chorizo burger. With coleslaw and cheese. I can devour 3 or 4 of those in one sitting.
Little back story, when me and my friends used to go catch a movie, it would usually begin with us grabbing a bite to eat at the Bun on the Run in the mall. Greenbelt 1. (Yes, OG Greenbelt.) As time went on, the stall left GB1, and we were without choriburgers for a long time. In fact, I had all but forgotten about them until I found a stall in Metrowalk Ortigas. This was in 2009, I never knew there was one there, I just met with some friends close by while I was on a trip home from Canada. Now, these were not my usual hangouts, but boy once I saw the burger stand, I could not wait to go back.
Unfortunately the next time I was ever able to go home was 2013, January to be exact. That was a quick 3 week trip, which was actually quite hectic. I brought along my good friend Catherine, my Canuck sister from another mister, and toured her around the country. Palawan, Boracay, Batangas. That, plus my desire to not have a huge food baby while at the beach led me to temper my desire for gorging on local food until after we were all done going to the beach. Needless to say, I was unable to partake in the awesomeness that is the choriburger.
Sadly, as I was going through Philippine foodie websites, I ran across comments saying that the franchise has shut down. I now live in a world where Bun on the Run, and more specifically, the Choriburger, does not exist.
I don’t know why this actually made me a little sad. Maybe it’s the link to my childhood, maybe its the memories attached to the food, or maybe I just get emotional over a burger. Probably the last one. So here’s to you, choriburger. Thanks for all the delicious times. Cheers.
