Amaterasu [天照], Amaterasu-ōmikami or Ōhirume-no-muchi-no-kami is a part of the Japanese myth cycle and also a major deity of the Shinto religion. She is the goddess of the sun, but also of the universe.
In Japanese mythology, Amaterasu, the goddess of the sun, is the sister of Susanoo, the god of storms and the sea, and of Tsukuyomi, the god of the moon. It was written that Amaterasu had painted the landscape with her siblings to create ancient Japan. She became the ruler of the sun and the heavens along with her brother, Tsukuyomi, the god of the moon and ruler of the night. Originally, Amaterasu shared the sky with Tsukuyomi, her husband and brother until, out of disgust, he killed the goddess of food, Uke Mochi. This killing upset Amaterasu, causing her to label Tsukuyomi an evil god and to split away from him; separating night from day.
There is also a long-standing rivalry between Amaterasu and her other brother, Susanoo. When he was to leave Heaven by orders of Izanagi, he went to bid his sister goodbye. Amaterasu was suspicious, but when Susanoo proposed a challenge to prove his sincerity, she accepted. Each of them took an object of the other’s and from it birthed gods and goddesses. Amaterasu birthed three women from Susanoo’s sword while he birthed five men from her necklace. Claiming the gods were hers because they were born of her necklace, she decided that she had won the challenge. The two were content for a time, but her brother became restless and went on a rampage, destroying Amaterasu’s rice fields, hurling a flayed pony at her loom, and killing one of her attendants in a fit of rage. Amaterasu, who was in fury and grief, hid inside the Ama-no-Iwato (“heavenly rock cave”), thus effectively hiding the sun for a long period of time. The world, without the illumination of the sun, became dark. The gods could not lure Amaterasu out of her hiding place until the goddess of dawn, Ame-no-Uzume, was able to trick her into reappearance.
A bit different than my normal SP designs. I’ve always loved spirit levels - I don’t know why but I had to use this level in a design. As you can see it fluoresces under a black/UV light. It is not glow in the dark. It’s on a black rubber cord. Available in my Etsy Shop.
Warnings: Poor Ivar, the water always trying to murder him
Traveling across the ocean was without a doubt the worst part about England, why did it have to be so damn far away? Ivar ground his teeth in frustration. By all accounts he should be laying down, enjoying the still night. The lack of wind did him no favors in the long run but there wasn’t a cloud in the sky, only the full pale moon glittering off the smallest ripples. He should be like the rest of the men and women, sleeping. After his first voyage however, every little shift and sound and creak put him on edge, not to mention this uncomfortable feeling at the back of his neck of being watched.
Cleaning his nails with the very tip of his knife, he began to hum, starting out quiet as to not wake the others. As he felt slightly more and more calmed by it, he began singing the words, a deep hymn usually sung to keep formation, helping put him in any other place than on the ocean. Yet the feeling of being watched wouldn’t drift, instead it got stronger. Glancing around, no one stirred or seemed awake, but Ivar couldn’t shake the feeling. His volume drifted till it was back to a whisper, trying so hard to push away the feeling.
Ivar sat up straight, his back rigid as he searched for the voice. Behind him, he found you, this woman rested on the boats rim, smiling pleasantly. You were a vision so fine and so lavished in jewels and shells he scarcely believed what he was seeing was real. Ivar’s reason told him you needed to get out and on the boat as soon as possible, his instinct however, felt like he was staring down the jaws of a starving wolf.
Apparently using gold plate in hi-end audio equipment sounds better because:
Gold is highly resistant to corrosion or oxidation, so prevents poor connections from those sources. It is also fairly soft, so the mating surfaces deform slightly, increasing contact area to reduce resistance. The gold plating is very thin, so the added resistance from the gold is easily overcome by its other properties.
When I saw this gold plate fuse I just had to use it. It looks like it’s fairly simple but I did have to pop the fuse so the pins went right through. It’s available in my Etsy shop.
Request: hello!!!! could you make Tao mafia! au scenario when you and him are best friend, he’s in love with you but sadly you have a boyfriend. your boyfriend want to kill Tao by threatening you, end up fluff thank you !!!!
Can you do a tao mafia? And i love your stories out of this world
“Sweet heart” Zitao spoke as he rubbed your cheek “Tao Tao you didn’t have to” you say as you stared at the necklace. “You know Guan never buys me things like this” you say as he helped you put it on. “Guan should spoil you. You’re a big deal in our world and you should be treated as such” he says softly into your ear as you smiled. “Why do you try to sweet talk me?“ you ask him as he laughs kissing your cheek lightly.
Zitao sat across from you and your boyfriend Guan. Your families had the habits of coming together and having meals. Guan and Zitao had never liked one another and the staring contest was proving it. “You know what I’m gonna get something to eat” you say as you began rushing away from them. “Y/N had a large bruise on her arm. Why is that?” “the same reason she’s not wearing the necklace” the men simply stare at each other. “Stop going after her, she’s like a dog you know. Too loyal to leave me and too loyal to leave her best friend. It will be easy on her when I kill you if you aren’t her friend anymore. I wouldn’t be stuck listening to her sob” Guan told as Zitao got up.
A plate shattering filled the room as Guan freezes before he turned to see you “Y/N” he says as he got up. “Don’t be stupid now. Stay calm” he told you as you shook your head stepping back and went to grab you but before he could Zitao harshly grabbed and brought him into a choke hold “don’t be stupid now. Stay calm” Zitao cooed in his teasing tone. “You know her daddy will love to hear what you just called his daughter. I think I’ll make it more colorful though. Forgive me for saying this Y/N but I’ll tell him you called his precious daughter a bitch, how you beat her, guilt her into stay with you. Ah he’ll have no problem ending you” Zitao hissed as he looked over at you. “You okay with that?” he asked you as you nodded “even dogs turn on the people they’re loyal to” he whispered into Guan’s ear.
Zitao had you curled into him as you two sat on your couch. “I’m sorry this happened to you” he whispered as you rubbed your fingers along his clothed chest. “It’s not your fault” you told him as he shook his head “it is. I gave you the necklace-” “you got me out of a bad situation Tao” you whispered to him. You looked up at him as he smiled softly as the moment seemed perfect. Leaning down his lips touched yours lightly, his lips were soft and velvety. His heart was poured into every push of it.
Zitao was a man in love and he wasn’t ashamed of it when he expressed it to you. “I want you to be mine” he whispered as he pulled back “I’ll keep you safe-” you simply cut him off and kissed him hard. “Just don’t change yourself” you whisper to him “don’t worry about that” he promised as he kissed you once again enjoying it all.
This is a strong masculine design - something that I want to do more of for my steampunk brothers. It will also appeal to those who like apocalyptic/atomic punk genres with that unusual silver tone pendulum alluding to the motifs of that era.

Amaterasu, the ruler of the sun and the heavens along with her brother, Tsukuyomi, the god of the moon and ruler of the night. Originally, Amaterasu shared the sky with Tsukuyomi, her husband and brother until, out of disgust, he killed the goddess of food,Uke Mochi, when she pulled food from her mouth and other bodily openings. This killing upset Amaterasu causing her to label Tsukuyomi an evil god and split away from him; separating night from day. Other versions of this story say that Susano-Wo killed Ukemochi.
The texts also tell of a long-standing rivalry between Amaterasu and her other brother,Susanoo. Claiming the gods were hers because they were born of her necklace, and the goddesses were his, she decided that she had won the challenge, as his item produced women. Though she was persuaded to leave the cave, Susanoo was punished by being banished from Heaven. Both later amended their conflict when Susanoo gave her the Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi sword as a reconciliation gift. When they both reconciled the moon became visible. —— Roberts, Jeremy (2010)
