Made a särk to go with the viking dresses i made last week. hem got slightly uneven making it a bit shorter on one side but oh well. The sleeves are roomy enough to swing an axe, and it is very comfortable. I am happy enough with it. approx. construction time drafting pattern, cutting and sewing around 4 hours.
Meeting vikings, knights, jesters, plague doctor and….final fantasy’s white mage is the only reason why I love Summer tbh. And probably throw some Honey Saffron ice cream there too. Like, at least a ball for each day I spend in Visby maybe.
Also, I didn’t take any pic but I saw Gandalf the gray and Radagast as well, and the street performers were playing Concerning Hobbit on Stora torget in Sunday. There is a big theme of Medieval Fantasy on this year’s Medieval Week, with Game of Throne being the main focus (they even brought the iron throne!), so I guess that’s why some stuff like these would be more visible this year.
Man, I just want to stay in Visby forever just now…
